Besides the good balance, they also have good detail, dynamics, and rock solid imaging too. I'm impressed. This is the best implementation of an AMT tweeter that we've heard here.

You can here imaging through headphones? What setup are you using if you don't mind?

4,5" carbon fiber woofer , replaced by the A4V now but I think the A3X are still available at some outlets. I like them. Neutral, clear, detailed without sounding "off" in any area. I think they could work well for monitoring or small room listening. Best of the monitors so far E 😊😊

These may sound smaller and brighter than the 5s, but I still find them a much more enjoyable listen overall. The AX5 suffers from poor balance, with a sucked out midrange that these don't suffer from. They are much better balanced and musical, and don't sound lacking in bass. They would work very well in my small room.

under the 2 rubber pads there are 2 other adjustments, what are they? should i leave them to the minimum?

I like the AX3s a bit better than the AX5s. The bass, while not as deep sounds smoother and more natural to me, and they have nice speed and punch there and throughout the range.. I find the mids a touch lean in the 500hz to 1Khz region, but they reveal detail quite well because the mids and the entire range is very clean. An enjoyable listen, but not quite as a neutral as I would have expected. Good recording monitors I think, if not the most accurate for mixdowns, but fun for just listening.
