    WOW!!!! I cannot believe how wonderful these guys play. These two SQUASH GIANTS never disappoint. An amazing squash match by 2 of the very best squash players of the world. I was very heartbroken to hear that Nick is retiring, I mean he still plays amazing squash for someone his age. Its always a pleasure to watch these gentlemen play. Nick Matthew visited South Africa last year and I got the chance to go see him play a few exhibition matches with a few local players. He truly is a champion, on and off the court. thank you PSA SQUASHTV for blessing us with wonderful matches.

    Should have taken my chance when I had it (through his Uncle that I knew in Rotherham) and played Nick almost 25 years ago... what an absolute champion he became (both on and off the court!). A superb advocate for the sport I dearly love... I guess I won't get the chance again! He's the reason I set up the Squash Club I run @rlcsquash - a sad day when he finally hands up his competitive racquet! One of the nicest guys from Yorkshire regardless of whether he plays Squash or not!! Long may you reign Nick!!

    Thanks for the Video @PSA SQUASHTV and congrats on the Viewers! Think Squash matches would benefit from a Camera placed looking down the Tin Line, also even maybe down each high line as well?

    Thanks! It's not the number of cameras that holds us back, it's the number of inputs into the replay machine, we're currently limited to 4 and upgrading that across several kits would be v. costly... tins and out calls are 100% in our thoughts though

    Joey and P.J. need to be in the box together more often. Simon Parke is an acceptable alternative. If he's not available, Lee Beachill is by far the best person to fill in. Stop putting Johnny Williams with some random player.

  • @jakubzapala9691

    EXACTLY! My thoughts for years. PJ and Joey are just the classic, their voices during the match really fit in and it is even oddly satisfying to hear their voices next to the squeaking soles on the court. Simon Parke and Lee should share the box with PJ and Joey. Boy, oh boy that would go viral.

    quick question, as i am not an expert in sqush tactics; why is there more backhand rallies than forehand?

  • @Ro-12-21

    @Ro-12-21

    5 жыл бұрын

    It's considered the more defensive shot as it is difficult to attack from deep in the backhand corner. Players at this level use it also as a means to recover from difficult rallies and catch their breath.

  • @dsphillips1000

    @dsphillips1000

    It is easier to hit a tighter line on the back hand, as your shoulders are naturally more square to the wall when you play the shot. That way it is safer, and gives the player opportunity to attack/capatilise on any lose balls when they arise by playing a tight shot and good length, saying that, it is also much harder to attack a ball on the backhand, especially from up high.

    If it’s under about 10% of the ‘likes’ then we just assume it’s trolls, more than that and there might be something wrong. People normally let us know in the comments though. Often people hit dislike if their favourite player doesn’t win, or if they don’t like one of the players shown... which isn’t really the point!

    Why was that a let? Matthew wrapped his left arm around Gregory in order to keep him in the way instead of playing the clearly hittable ball. Why is that not an illegal move?
