I’ve got a TC5003 that I got a couple of months ago. Mine still indexes too. My parents have an older awn432 and it doesn’t index at all. Has a distinct sound (a guh guh guh) sound as the tub tries to index but is stopped. That thing is well broken in…ran atleast 1 load a day for 10 years…sometimes multiple loads

Could be worse, could be a WCI built Frigidaire or similar machine although I do admit, I have a soft spot for those.

It's a nice machine, but the older Whirlpool direct drives are more robust and versatile.

Nothing beats the Direct Drive washers, and nothing will.

Mine's brand new since January. I can hold on to it so it doesn't index and it has amazing action.

Look at the wash tub... it rotates instead of standing in place. Another name for this is "indexing"
