Re: Gallagher The rumors didn’t start in April. They started in December/January. I don’t think he’s leaving chelsea. He doesn’t want to leave. He wants a raise. He’s vastly underpaid and he plays every minute. If the rumor doesn’t go away it’s agent-driven.

The Eze worry of “sometimes big players in small teams don’t work out” seems a bit ‘survivor bias to me” I think most big transfers are from a “smaller club” to a “Bigger club”. So idk that we can argue that it doesn’t work out sometimes, like it has any sort of higher chance of not working.

Zaha waited too long for his move bc he wanted too much money and his release clause was too high. Olise learned from this. When Bayern came calling he got out before he was 29. Eze is 26. I think he’ll get his chance to leave and he’ll take it. Hopefully it’ll be to us.

Couldn’t agree more on PEH. He’s the definition of a model pro, never complains, gives his all, tried to rally the troops. Someone you would want to go to war with on your side. I wish him all the best whoever buys him. He just doesn’t suit our system and he knows it. Good luck to him, he should always be welcomed when in N17 for his efforts over the years.

Ramsey not for sale. Villa have sorted the PSR problem in due time. No need to sell except a huge bid comes along.

Considering prem clubs are doubling/tripling their player's prices for PSR, Eze at £60m is quite reasonable for his age and ability. Meanwhile Arsenal apparently quoting £40-50m for Nketiah and Villa are likely to do the same for Ramsey.

I don't know why we have a negative attitude towards incoming quality. We were only short of depth last season. Surely if we add Eze and afew others then we are serious contenders. Calafiori can look at a back line containing Cuti, VDV and Dragusin in the central areas and Porro and Udogie on the outsides. Tell me that is second rate and I will expect to be shown a better selection.

Ramsey is 100% not happening he’s in ucl club why would he leave? Eze is 100% up to levy and chances are 60/40 we don’t get him.

No disrespect but it's likely Villa being in the CL will be a one-off like Newcastle. They're unlikely to get an influx of top players joining or no one wanting to leave just because they qualified once.

Calafiori and Geertruida are excellent players but they naturally want to follow their excellent previous managers to excellent bigger clubs. It's the dream narrative and one that I wish applied to us more often 🥺 It's not always reality or a prerequisite but ideally we want players who want to play for the club.

Unproven🤣🤣, yes had injuries last season but the year before he had 14 G/A and was flying under Emery. Great player who will improve massively. Glad he will be staying at a CL club👍👍

The fact that olise is going to bayern doesnt bode well for us signing eze ! I think palace are well aware that glasner wont be happy and he did a good job when he took over there . Plus we have the inimitable daniel levy negotiating for spurs and the man has a track record of fcking up deals.

Massive shame we missed out on kvaratskhelia back in 2022 because levy preferred a loan rather than pay the asking price of £8 mill. Napoli have a £100 mill player on their hands who we could have signed but for levy being a prat - but yeah its all hindsight - levy didnt see he had the next bale right in front of him.

If we were a serious club we would have already met Eze release clause fee, And asked him if he wants to come or not, that's the problem. We don't do business quick enough and get our key signing in. Let the rumours roll around for months and let another team come in. Just hope we've got a striker lined up as soon as possible and the other targets so they can prepare and blend into the team for Ang and his philosophy
