Probably pairs best worth a slow attack unit that doesn't use ammo. The ammo mechanic greatly reduces the need for attack speed unless you desperately need to kill something ASAP

Geek is really a weird archetype that I'm not sure where HG wants to take it. Felt like it was one-off joke with Aak but now they want to do something more with it.

the only operator i guess she synergizes with is chalter. since it greatly reduces the interval between each bullet. but even then its still cope.

Considering she's still the second one of her archetype Hypergryph also probably don't know what they're doing with it😂

The problem with Spuria IMO (Beyond the schizo kit) is the fact that fielding her is a loss in an opportunity cost analysis. You most likely need a source of healing to accompany Spuria, so that's 2 squad-slots taken, plus as you said she only really works well with slow snipers like Rosa or Typhoon. For the same squad space (Sniper+Spuria+Healing source) I could field a Sniper with a better kit (Holunday) or a better synergistic package (Exia+Warf+Shamare). Overall while I don't want to stop anyone from leveling her if they like the op I would still suggest just leaving her E0L1 and focus resources on better units

Spuria is a proof that unique gameplay is not always a good thing. Shes my second favorite ops, only because exu has been locking that spot for 4 years, and i will definitely max her. But saying that shes usable is a copium overdose. Yes technically slow attack snipers like schwartz and chen can use the buff, but they can also use skadi, warfarin, shamare, hell aak+shining is a more feasible combo with bigger ROI. She can only buff one class and she end up hurting like half of the class she intends to "buff". Shes straight up a trophy wife op. You raise her to put her in the main screen and nothing else (why tf does Arknights not have rotating secretary options like the one in GFL or AL).

Spuria is the reason I buld my Wisperrain and Lumen and force me use both.

As someone who dabbles in Deerknights and 1P Relay no 6*'s, I am both amused and slightly offended

'she can serve as a pseudo sniper" "you can see her buff on ops with lower attack speed is slightly stronger than warfarin's" "why does she stun the operator she buff" Yep I wonder why a unit with stats similar to a AA sniper that buff both herself and another sniper with a buff comparable to the 2nd strongest buff in the game, would have any sort of balancing mechanism. Also maybe because she's a 5star so it would be strange to have her outshine Aak, I mean sure Aak's buff is stronger, but also require you to go out of your way to buff a sniper. But IMO the main reason is probably to avoid peoples using both her AND Aak's buff together on the same target, as +90% ASPD and +80% ATK seem a bit strong.

@@cefrinaldi8060 First, No, she buff every sniper that is not a marksman sniper, they are the only ones taking a hit to their DPS, so it's more around 30ops, it's how effectiv the buff is that depend on the base attack interval of the target. Second, even if it was literaly 3ops: Yes, and? So does a bunch of talents like Palas's or the AH's . Who care? Not every buffer is made to be paired with every other units. Like, why doesn't Elysium also buff casters when his skills are up? Why only snipers as well?

@@kevinseraphin5456 @kevinseraphin5456 the worst thing about her kit is not class restriction. But the demerit of stun chance. I mean for operator with long wind up attack it might not pose a problem but for other sniper, it hinder their overall dps. Moreover +aspd plus stun is counterproductive. It just gave higher chance to stun. The only way to use her is to use an operator that will not be hindered by the stun. Its as if we want to make spuria work then we need a team around her, meanwhile buffer job is the other way around, buffer are the team that make operator works. While the other buffer try to help other, spuria is actively trying not to.

@@cefrinaldi8060 Gotta disagree with you on the "we need to build a team around her", the use of Elysium+snipers or Flagpipe require more to be build around than her... all you need is to slap her in a team with a sniper that synergize more or less well with her, it doesn even have to be perfect, she require less to be built around than unig Aak as well. Hell you could just slap her next to Fiammeta , who already need a medic (and more often than not nowaday you still have your snipers in your medic range anyway), and it gives her the strongest buff in the game with no drawback or need to think about anything...

@@kevinseraphin5456 have to also disagree with that. Ely+sniper was actually a good combo but they can work even without each other. More often than not i find no one actually use that combo. Also for flagpipe, most of the time you dont need that combo except for high risk stage. For fiammetta, with her 2nd module released, she doesnt even need a medic anymore. One way or another, those ops combo ae optional and they were fine with each on their own, in aak case he can do great on his own since he has build in healing which spuria dont. She need healing to stay alive. Moreover we need a serious cherry picking cuz her stun stunted her. Aak buff used to be only be given to high def ally but with the released of silence alter that wouldnt be the case, for pallas she now is mostly used for lane holding but her high ground module make her much more flexible for ground ops buffing. Case be told, buffer always find a way to make their buff more accesible to others while spuria trying to make her buff only work on certain operator and she actively try to lessen that number. Her competitor was warfarin, an all rounder buffer who fits to all class without any appearant demerit. You could bring warf to buff few different operator with different class and she can be able to do it smoothly. Meanwhile for spuria you could only buff a few sniper and for other class and even other sniper archaetype you have to bring another buffer, even when you only bring sniper class operator.

It's such a missed opportunity to not make Geek Specialist a Ranged Fast-Redeploy unit with helidrop skill capability instead. In that way, they sort of work like Merchant but instead of consuming DP, they just consume their own HP if they stay in the field for a long time. Aak, although has never been an essential unit, is at least somewhat usable, and admittedly his buff is still one of the strongest one in the game even if it requires a strong and hefty set-up (Shining or Nian). Outside of his friendly-fire buff, he does have decent DPS and can be enchanced with his other skill and also a chance to stun enemy, which can come in handy even if he's still won't be the best scenario choices. I feel like if they're designed like Merchant with much faster redeploy time; strong DPS (or utility); and helidrop skill, they have a chance to work on certain niche since we don't exactly have any ranged fast redeploy unit as of now. The closest we get is April, and she's good but even she is not THAT fast. We need Geek Specialist to have Gravel-level fast redeploy, fix some of their kit, and now we're talking.

In the current state, Spuria is more or less the worst operator in the game... Even Yato and U-Official still have more use despite restriction to only certain mode and limitations. You never need Spuria, and that's sad because she has one of the coolest design in the game. I hope they gonna reconsider adding another trait to Geek Specialist just like what they did to Abjurer, but in the state as it is right now, Geek is just a funny specialist archetype that barely specializes in anything.

Spuria is e2 level 50 and m2m3 and it is not worth it. It is goofy and only works on very few operators.
