Pleasant Mountain via Ledges Trail is a quick and steep ascent of a few miles out and back, a little over 1,500 ft of gain. There are a few other trails that also ascend Pleasant Mountain if you prefer a loop and have another vehicle to park at a different trailhead with a buddy, or you can tack on some extra mileage before heading back to the original TH.
I LOVED these views from the ledges and then from the summit. Definitely got lucky with good weather and crystal clear views of Mount Washington and the White Mountains. Happy happy!
Going up the snow had a pretty good icy crust, but coming down around 10:30am, it was already slushy enough to make the steep sliding down a little tougher on my knees, personally. Worth it to get that early start during this time of year (March/April) for sure!
