I am probably around your mum’s age. I have 4 sons and 1daughter, divorced for many years and still single. When my parents died they left me some money. I bought 20 acres in northern Michigan bordering thousands of acres of federal forest. I love it there. My kids are adults and I have grandkids now. I raised them in the country and that life stuck. I enjoy your videos. I find them calming. Although when you were stuck in the river I found myself all tense as you worked your way out. Haha. It brought to mind all the harrowing adventures I’ve had with my offspring and their offspring. It made me smile and filled me with gratitude for the life I have been given. I used to be young & idealistic once. I traveled & soaked up everything & thought I would change the world. Now I'm exhausted from trying & severely depressed, though my three dogs help keep me moving forward whether I want to or not. Happy journeys & enjoy while you still can.

Thank you for the feelings of being a child again. Even watching this I’m getting butterflies in my stomach. I live in the desert now of California but I was born in West Virginia.

When I was barely a teen I got a small horse and rode with other older girls all over the area around UConn. We knew the Natchaug River, Fenton River, Willimantic River. And a lot of other streams we did not know the names of. We rode in woods and found old farm lanes that were never paved. There is a Steven King short story about a couple who continually looked for back road short cuts. It captures that desire to explore and take that road less traveled. Always! We had a freedom back in the 50s and early 60s that kids may not have today. Living in the country is heaven. 🌸💙🐌 Always stay high and don’t stop.

Kyle. You have a gift. I believe you could probably sell a sow’s ear for a silk purse. You are able to show the beauty in an area on a simple walk. The simplicity of the walk is no less apparent in the simplicity and honesty of your video and comment. You could probably do the same with as flat and monotonous as many of our central states. I enjoy your videos very much, and look forward to the next one each time. I think it not too long until you will produce something that will go on a national, of not international film scale. Trout and Coffee Great Kyle. I live in State College. In my county (Centre) there are some of the best streams for trout. If you have not checked out Joe’s new film, I would encourage it. It’s called “Live the Stream”. My son is in a few shots. I would be pleased to have you visit. Seriously. I have two cavernous rooms upstairs to my Cape here in Boalsburg. I jump out of bed, make my New England coffee, toast an Everything bagel with cream cheese and smoked Alaskan Salmon sit down and watch my best video friend. Kyle! This has to be the best video thus far. It is fantastic. You have such great friends and a wonderful relationship with them. Your sketches are fantastic, I really liked the Brown Trout.
