The trips I've been having have really helped me a lot, I finally feel in control of my emotions and my future and things that used to be mundane to me now seem incredible and full of nuance on top of that I'm way less driven by my ego and I have a lot more empathy as well
I can't find a source anywhere for any good psychedelics in my area, I suffer some pretty bad depression and i got a chance to try K and man it was a miracle substance, I felt free, the only high or euphoria was from the relief of my vices being released, that's exactly what it did

Last summer I innoculated several dozen logs with medicinal mushrooms . I did Reishi , Turkey Tail, Birch Polypore and Lions Mane . Starting to see little Turkey Tail mushrooms developing already . Not only are these great medicinals for people but it turns out they are super important for the bees as they collect medicine from them to keep themselves and the hive healthy .

@@dertythegrower One of the medicinal ingredients that the bees are getting from the mushroom mycelium is also contained in clover but the mushrooms contain a Much higher concentration of these . I originally thought that the bees were just getting pollen from the clover , but it turns out that it also contains low levels of a medicinal substance . Stamets was saying that the bees were hitting his mushroom beds nonstop gathering mycelium.

Oh WOW Thank Yoy for sharing that fact! I’ve never heard about them being good for the bees too!
My 8 year old son and I were walking through the woods one day and found a ginormous Lions Mane mushroom. He was extatic! "Mom! What is that!" I told him it was lions mane and also medicine. I have never seen him so excited to find something as cool as that on our little adventure. Now when he goes outside he always brings me usnea. "Here mom, I found some medicine." I feel like an accomplished parent. Very happy, blessed and pleased to know he pays attention and is interested to learn new things with me.

We just went yesterday! Took the kiddos and they always find more! We found a couple pounds. White and black. I’m so going to try this! Thank you for this video. To anyone watching remember they have to be cooked thoroughly before consuming. And also be careful drinking alcohol while consuming them. Some people get gastrointestinal issues.
They inoculated fallen logs with turkey tail in the mountains because they allow the log to retain moisture and it resists forest fires. It’s burned down up here 3 times
I always stoop down often to get a better view when hunting for morals . Mushroom hunting has always been a family tradition ♡ I love the hike , the hunt, the cooking and eating 😋

I am always concerned when I don't see bees and literally jump for joy when I see bees, butterflies and Lady Bugs
You can collect more spores from just a few morels than what comes in all those bags together. Try it it could make a great vid. Save three fresh morels( 4-8 days old) and basically do a spore print and collect the spores. Collecting your own spores from any shroom is easiest thing ever.
Mushroom spores can lay dormant for decades not just one to two years like it says on the packet. I f you find a nice patch in some woodland dig a 6ft x 2ft trench only 1ft deep. Fill it with old tree roots branches and ldead leaves from poplar and maple until its just above the sides and then cover with the soil you dug out. Pour the water with your spores in evenly down the middle. Keep it as straight as possible. You only want about a 2 inch wide strip. The spores will absolutely cover the dead tree matter underneath the soil and then when conditions are right send up thousands of morel mushrooms Ours took 36 months but was well worth the wait they have been sending up mushrooms for nearly 2 years now and have spread many meters from where they where put.
Thank you beautiful soul for sharing your journey with us 🐞🐝🌻🍄
Look at your babies! This is precious. Thanks for sharing. ❤️
Also hope you grow bunch.See ya.
Morel hunting is something that we do with our children every year and it has always been such a fun time in the woods with them !! It's my favorite family tradition we have!
I get tons of free food grade buckets from my local grocery store from their bakery department. They don't last long outdoors, but...who cares, infinite free buckets! After 1 year of UV, they'll break down and the handles break, but again---who cares, free tubs! A couple of perks with their tubs is, they come with lids, they have different sizes (I like the 2 gallon ones best, they're not crazy heavy when full)

Hi, what an exciting idea! But I think you could find more mushrooms if you pour a small amount in several different places throughout your forest instead of pouring out a whole bucket in one place, It is also more likely that the mushrooms will find a place where they really thrive if they are scattered in small numbers throughout the forest. Now I will also try to buy some mushroom spores
Thinking of adding some wine cap mushrooms to our farm this year.... hopefully we are successful
Thanks for sharing your wisdom & great way of teaching! Blessings to your family 🤗💕🇨🇦

The better Moral hunting I have done was on a Christmas tree farm... not kidding. Been in stands of Poplar and never found a one... Though where I lived one time was Poplar central and one day there was a 13" Moral in a group outside the back door! Found them in creek bottoms in similar location as well. Too the southern slopes of an oilfield... almost always on a slope. Have tried seeding my spores... it's been years, maybe someday.

I am taking a beginner mushroom class in a week. I have a Lions mane block growing now. I was told that the Morel spores are actually a different variety than our local Morels. We shall see 🤞
Morel's come up first in the East facing hill's Then the come up in the west last. Later in the season the setting sun and the largest morel's
Morels are our favorite here in Eastern Oregon!💕

I definitely need to take my daughter. This would be so much fun.
This is really cool, i only recently just got into mushrooms. Paul Stamets has been a great source of information for me so far. Planning on trying to grow some indoors (city living).
In our area, Missouri, morels grow near willows and maple as well as elm.
Greg Judy style i learned about this recent 💪 good work
Mushrooms are a huge goal for us as well, but we don't have a forest at your disposal. We have to figure out how to do what we can in our small backyard.
I would love some morels. Food of our Creator!

Hi
I was so excited to watch this video. We have lived here for over 40 years and haven't seen 1 Morel on the property. Bummer!! I really want to try this! I have a question, once you inoculate the ground and it starts growing the mushrooms, will the continue to grow year after year or do you have to inoculate the ground over and over? Also I really want to grow Turkey tail on trees or logs. If that takes on the logs will we have to continue to inoculate logs over and over again to get the Turkey tail?
I keep saying that you should start farming mushrooms. There are kits you can get to start out. Its great that you're starting to do this!

False morels (ones that look a lot like morels but are not) can cause stomach pain. That is why identification is so important. Also, they must be cooked well before eating them. I don't know why the other commenters are making illegal drug references.

@@TheHoneystead Ok thanks. I was just wondering because mushrooms seem to only pop up at certain times. Like after a rain, warm weather, and some can disappear as quickly as they pop up. @Peachlady222

We are in Missouri. Ours pop when the apple trees bloom. This usually happens at the same time as our spring turkey season, midApril to early May. You can’t go by dates. There needs to be adequate moisture and the ground needs to warm up. If daytime temperatures go to high 70s for a day or two and you have a rain- this is ideal. We hunt anytime of day. You can look in an area more than once. They don’t all come up at once. When you find some, you will be able to come back year after year to the exact same spot. We drop a pin on a map app to locate the places we gather.

i'm no expert, but mushroom spore also compete with each other. So if you put them too close to each other, they would focus on fighting instead of growing.
I followed "The Urban Farming Guys" Morel slurry spore method two years in a row and not a single mushroom came up. I know the area(s) I spread the spores are at least somewhat suitable for morels because I've had them in years past. Nothing since using their slurry though. Curious to see if you're able to propagate any.

For me it’s too late, but you can still save yourself. In my 40+ years of studying and hunting the elusive morel I’ve learned there’s no rhyme or reason to them. Start farming butterflies instead and give up your crazy dream of cultivating the morel, before you end up broken and defeated like me. Pray that mushroom gets cast into the ninth ring of hell.
