Spot Hogg Fast Eddie XL sight in

This was my first shooting of the Spot Hogg Fast Eddie XL sight in and it was very easy to sight this new Spot Hogg Fast Eddie XL in! All I needed was to tune my bow and then level the sight 2nd and 3rd axis and the Spot Hogg Fast Eddie XL was ready to sight in at 20 and then at 60 yards.
I tried to capture the whole process of sighting your Spot Hogg Fast Eddie XL. Its very easy it just takes some time to do.
Thanks for watching Spot Hogg Fast Eddie XL sight in and please like, subscribe and share!! -

Good advice on Taking Your Time. Your sighting-in shots have to be precise at 20 and 60. If the weather isn’t optimum, you’re fatigued or if you’re simply not shooting your best that day, the results will be inaccurate. STOP! All of these things could lead to your selecting the wrong sight tape, and result in increased frustration and, perhaps, missing a big buck or elk. So, sighting-in isn’t a project to take-on the day prior to a hunting trip or before a big 3D tournament. While it can be done on relatively short notice if needed, a lot of things have to be perfect, and they rarely are, to ensure proper alignment of your yardages.

Great Video and impeccable shooting. I'm also in the market for a spot hogg Fast eddie XL double pin. I'm curious what your experience has been using the second pin. Is the second pin accurate moving the site up and down? For example when your top pin is set to 20 do you find the bottom pin accurate to 30? 30 and 40? 40 and 50? my experience with individual pin adjustment on multi pin sights is the drop is not always the same amounting in different distances between pins. Thanks in advance!

To be perfectly honest it was accurate to 55 yards, and I never tried it past that. It was 13 yards gap between the 2 pins. If I just shot over 55 it would be the top pin. The sight is badass IMO. I really like it, I might make a new video when I get my new bow in a few weeks. Thanks for watching!

Once you do this, then you can freely move around the remaining pins you have (if you have say a 3 pin like I do) so you don't have to move the sight up and down correct? The sight in the video has 2 pins, when you roll the sight they both move but the sight has 2 pointers. As long as everything is calibrated correctly it you can roll the top pine to 100 yards if you want. Some of the spot hog MRT series sights work differently. The fast eddie xl 2 pin uses the 2 pointers which correlate to the sight tape you create when you do the calibration procedure.

@@MichiganGreatOutdoors If you have to adjust the site from left to right does that throw off any of the axis’s?

First axis refers to the level of the mounting bracket itself in relation to the bow. Second axis refers to the level of the sight head and pins. Third axis refers to the pitch of the sight head either away from or towards you, similar to a door hinge. I dont think it will mess it up since ive dont it this way in the past. I always, mount the bow sight, get everything level. Then sight in pins. Good luck!

Anytime! Hopefully it goes well for you. I think there are some other videos out there on how to level the sight. Im sure if you search for them u can find it. Or take it to a local pro shop for the leveling.

Can you do the exact same thing but have the bottom pin be your adjustable pin, in other words will it work If you calibrate it the exact same way but when you put your site tape on put it on where your bottom pin is sighted in at? I have a 5 pin but I'm going to take the 4th pin out making it a 4 pin, I'm going to have four pins sighted in at 20, 30, 40, and 50 but I want my bottom pin to be the one that's adjustable so I'm wondering if I can just put the site tape on at the 50 mark...any advice?

Darn near perfect is what I was looking for. Mainly elevation wise. If your left or right u can fix that later.

It seems like some groups are perfect and so are alittle spaced out - my elevation is perfect. It’s hard keeping tight groups.

@@deermuscle2283 yes, sometimes it can be. Make sure you are shooting fresh and rested. By that I mean I tend to shoot better in the morning time. My mind and body is rested and normally free of distractions. It took me about a week to fully sight my sight in and I shot probably close to 1000 arrows to get there. I just wanted to do my best and make sure I was truly dialed in. So far im really impressed by this sight and its ability to shoot consistently at all yardages. Good luck brother!

The only comment I can say is, I haven't been bit once by mosquitos. Even with the pond in the front yard. Sorry it had nothing to do with the sight...
