Good video, except for the part I really needed. I was trying to find an easy way to remove the throttle & return cables. Bright light blocking out what he was doing. ☹

Sorry about the light but if you look at the mount there is two screws holding it in place one on the top cap and one on the side when you take those out give it a little twist and you can roll the barrels out of the mechanism

Hey brother I am having issues with one of those CV carbs I have a 1992 harley davidson softail heritage. Here's the deal it was riding just fine it only has 27000 miles on it . All of a sudden the idle is super high once it heats up to operating temperature and its heating the motor up fast because of it . I have sprayed starter fluid around the intakes and hoses and the idle hasn't raised up any . Any clues brother this bike is my only form of transportation and I need to figure this out fast lol .

FYI that intake is like trying to suck a basketball through a water hose. A Stage One really opens it up alot & the power increase is BIG.

I understand your point. A stage one is fine but if you look at the pipes I don’t have any substantial bluing or yellowing so the bike is running right for the set up I have and I’m plenty happy with the performance of my little 883.

@@joestubbs3330 An 883/1200 is plenty of motorcycle. For less than $2k they can be be made to scream & few bikes will beat them 0-45mph. From light to light that's damn fast on a 500+lb motorcycle.

I heard you reference WV, do you live in the state? I'm in WV and just picked up a used & abused 97 model 883 sportster. I'm cleaning the carb and was curious what size jets you're running.

I’m still running the stock jets I’ve never had to change them. Just getting them cleaned up real good dose the trick for me.

@@Blah86683 yeah, excess gas from the carburetor flows out of this tube and onto the street. I was confused about this too, but it is a gasoline vent from the carburetor.
