I don't know about you guys but to me Blackhand is a fucking badass villain, his voice and attitude are what I like to see in a bad guy, really nice work Blizzard.

Darn it Maraad, you hit me right in the feels.

Don't forget Doomhammer. Who, for being the second Warchief of the Horde and a seriously major character in the Horde's lore, was offed rather anticlimactically. xD

DarkRaven4649 Two of the biggest lore characters of the horde get to do NOTHING of actual import in the story. Doomhammer is killed mostly offscreen and unless you knew him beforehand you might not even have known it was probably the 2nd most important character in horde history. Ner'zhul is easily the most important character in ALL of wow lore and yet he is offed in a 5-man with the horde not even properly interacting with him.

Blackhand is a really tough bastard. He is fine with a major explosion that had incinerated Maraad. He takes a Hammer of the Narru to the Head and reacts as it a tiny pebble hit him He gets hit by a two handed axe empowered by a super avenging wrath to the shoulder but still has the strength to escape the destruction of the ship and swim to safety in spite of the woulds and the heavy armor.

I love Yrel. She is such badass. More than the Warlords :D

It’s a real shame they didn’t continue to use Yrel. She’s arguably the best character they’ve ever developed story-wise during the game. Her rise up to Exarch is an amazing story, and this scene was just fantastic. “just you” still sends chills down my spine.

I love Yrel! She tops Jaina as my fave now, mainly because Jaina is going crazy. It sucks that Maraad died though; he was one of the most awesome characters and Blizzard made quite a fuss about him in Blizzcon.

Zoras88 No there might not be a 2nd Maraad because you know this Draenor is an alternate Timeline so there might be Characters who werent in the recent Timeline. Which means in the Recent Timeline with Thrall and Stuff wasnt Yrel either for example.

well the reason Thrall wasn't was because this was around the first war with Warchief Blackhand. Thrall wasn't born until sometime after the war with Orgrim Doomhammer

I think the horde and alliance are slowly morphing into one faction because in MOP they worked together to stop Garrosh and in WOD theyre working together

blizzards cinematics are so fkin epic... almost better then gaming itself xD

Poor Blackhand. Always getting owned by vengeful paladins. Turalyon and Yrel both went berserk/LightSuperSaiyan after Blackhand killed their mentor.

That wasn't Blackhand, that was Ogrim Doomhammer (The orc Blackhand kills right before this cinematic)

Google it or watch Nobbel's video on it. Ogrim Doomhammer became warchief after challenging Blackhand to a duel for the mantle of warchief, which he won. At the end of the second war Ogrim fought 1v1 with Anduin Lothar (Turalyon's mentor) and won. After he had killed Lothar, Turalyon went berserk and defeated Ogrim. But if you were referring to Maarad, then yes Blackhand was the one that killed him.

tbh, this cinematic, and this entire expansion for that matter, made me wonder... Where is Med'an? Shouldn't he be under Marads tutelage? and why does Khadgar have Ateish, when it was Med'an that restored it as he became the Guardian of Tirisfal?

Maybe Blackhand was stronger in this timeline since it is an alternative universe, or the armor and hammer is one of the future tech designs that garrosh brought with him. Since in our timeline Ogrim defeated Blackhand in single combat

Well, Blackhand is empowered by the elements if you read the short story about him.He's normally as strong as every warlord (+Durotan+Doomhammer) but it seems he had the chance to use the doomhammer once and talk to the elements and he is now their beloved little boy, even though he's not a shaman, it seems. I can't wait to get to know more about those flames that are covering his body and what is that destiny he's talking about.This guy might be a smartass compared to our reaility's Blackhand.Not sure if he's all in for this Iron Horde party, he might have his own plans.

Hard to get momentum in a swing when you are not standing on solid ground, might be she didn't think she had enough power to crack his skull so we went for the arteries in his shoulder to make him bleed out.

DarkTider You forgot, blizz removed +hit before we went through the dark portal. Considering this is Talador and Nagrand is the final area, her gear is probably not so good right now. :P

Of course he isn't. You saw the ending. He escapes by jumping from the deck of the ship before it exploded. He will be the final encounter in the Blackrock Foundry raid, which will be released in December.

Sigh, Yrel is such a forced, awful, and cringe worthy character.
