Spoiled Children or Having Inconsistent Boundaries Feeds Narcissism

Spoiling children, or shifting boundaries between “total control” and “none at all” during their childhood can also lead to the development of narcissistic tendencies. Parents may feel guilty for being too strict or controlling, and therefore, they may give in to their children’s every demand in order to make them happy. While this may be done with good intentions, it can result in the child becoming accustomed to having their every need met and manipulating others to get what they want. This behaviour can carry into adulthood, where the individual continues to expect the world to revolve around them and uses manipulation tactics to ensure their needs are always met.

In short, never let yourself be manipulated by guilt or emotionally blackmailed over anything.

Some children arent spoiled. But certainly can appear spoiled from learned survival techniques. But some others certainly are spoiled.

And when someone finally sets a hard boundary and is serious, the spoiled child is the victim because they aren’t used to be checked. Then setting boundaries becomes criminal

I swear sometimes Tim lives in my house as much as he steps on my toes with his content. Very much needed content in this world. Thank God for blessing him with this gift.

The preacher is influencing his followers to be Christian Jews and we all know there are no Jews and gentiles, but only humans, but the preacher convinced them did God has a plan for the Christian Jews and not the rest of humanity unless they abide by the Christian Jews

the interesting thing about this is that this same phenomenon happens with your relationship to your own self and with virtually everyone you come across. the accumulation of all these micro interactions is what directly determines the level of suffering or growth that the parties involved will experience

Because, if you are really clear that the kid crossed the boundary and got after them, then you allow yourself to feel like you were hard on them so you let everything slide afterwards, they just learn that they can continue playing on your emotions and it becomes a skill to try and manipulate. Instead, you have to be consistent and clear about crossing the line

I don’t know what I did right, but my children are not spoiled-probably one of the few things I did right! I can’t imagine my children disrespecting me like some children do today. All four all well into adulthood now, two Gen Xers and two millennials.

Some parents are actually terrible though. And the only peace they have found in their life from the trauma their parents caused us drugs. Not saying that it makes it a good decision. But yea. Some parents don’t help their kids see any beauty in the world. And kids get lost without any good parental figures.

You? Them? Not clear, video spoken too fast with no cintext given...not good to cut a chunk from a longer one, as the message is very confused here were the pronouns are exchanged. The YOU here is the main narcissist feeding the golden child (Them)? Not clear
