Excellent game. I used Sam's explanation of the dark when my daughter was first scared of the "monsters" in the dark. Worked very well.

I love how Sarah has Sam's dry and sarcastically grim sense of humor.

This is my favorite game in the Cell series without a doubt, Sam is just a bad ass and Michael Ironside is awesome as the voice of Fisher, it is too bad he didn't come back in Blacklist, nothing against the new guy, but he doesn't give Fisher the gravitas that Ironside does. Great movie and your gameplay is spot on

You might know this already, but Ironside didn't voice Fisher in Blacklist because he had cancer at that time.

It's great that he got better and came back to voice Fisher in one of the other Tom Clancy games (whos the name escapes me at the moment) As I said, I have nothing against the guy who took over, he's completely fine, but Fisher is supposed to be in his early 50's and doesn't sound it and everyone in Blacklist looks younger. Doesn't stop it from being a good game though.

Hardest part of the game

I`m glad you also showed small talks between guards that give a little bit of story too. I am not a fan of such "game movies" because game need to be played to be really enjoyed. However I beat Conviction few years ago and now I am going to play Blacklist so it was a good option to remember everything. P.S. Ending in Conviction I consider one of the best in video games. Both in Oval office and Vic`s words afterward. "I love you like a brother. And brother is a family right?" Boom.

This is more exciting and interesting than 15 of the 24 James Bond movies.

Still one of my favorite stealth games...the way they played out the interrogations has been my favorite and i love the story line, even if it is a little lacking writing wise. Thank you for the playthrough @gamematics!!!

While I prefer chaos theory as my favorite, the story here was fairly good. I dislike how they made grim from a tech to a frontline member but she was pretty good and the start made me think she was a traitor. The very end was golden how Vic talks about family.

This game is the third best of the series after double agent, it has a good story and confusing as a lot of you already commented on how he got to this point. But I have made my own conclusions as to what happened, it is awesome to see Sam fully unleashed, and showing Grim and everyone else he isn't some killing machine, you can just turn on and off When they want. I am glad they gave Fisher a more rogueish appeal, he is almost fully off the grid. Not sure how exactly they spotted him so quickly, although Grim is very good at what she does, blah. Blacklist has nothing on this or past installments.

***** I agree. I disliked the fact that accessories to your weapons in Conviction was permanent, like the damned scopes... But it was solid. It wasn't honed like Blacklist but it sure was a fun ride which I would love to go on again in perhaps current gen capabilities. Imagine playing through all the SC with this generation of graphics! It would be so fun.

+Kinos141 better controls? hell no. In Blacklist Sam is sluggish, you need to hold the A button to sprint and it's annoying, ever tried to sprint and look around at the same time? Also the button X being used for both grabbing bodies and weapons on the floor (just next to bodies) is a crappy idea. The system cover also has flaws, it was nearly prefect in conviction.

That's wild...had this game since it came out and I had no idea the credit sequence was 20 friggin' minutes long. And I thought F.E.A.R.'s was long.

I wish the music in this game was in Blacklist

Faster paced than the previous games with less time to think. I like it.

First part of the game is from my country Malta :) it is interesting to see how it was portrayed. Tks for the upload i really enjoy watching them.

I guess at the end Sam goes to rescue his friend, that is probably why you hear the explosion in the background and people going to check.

Fan since the first splinter cell, conviction is my personal fav thanks to hunter mode. Chaos Theory is the best exemple of what splinter cell should be.

I am definitely not ruling it out. It would only be primary missions though. If I included side missions it would be an enormous game movie. I will likely give it a try with GTA IV and if that goes well then likely GTA V.

Great video. Always loved the series. Grim telling Sam she lied about his daughter. ..that should have warranted more than a pissy few slaps. Let's just say she doesn't need her legs to operate a computer or phone link. I would have made her a Paraplegic on the spot. Lie to me again... So disappointed Sam let her off so easy.

I've been going through Double Agent, Chaos Theory, and Conviction). Idk which is best, but Ironside (AKA Sam Fisher). It's those three.

@@Gamematics Chaos Theory was my first. But I do feel that it doesn't have the personal emotional impact of Double Agent (and, to a lesser extent, Conviction). But in terms of sheer Splinter Cell feel (a day in the life vibe, and gameplay)....Chaos Theory is unparalleled.

@@Gamematics dude. We literally couldn't move/carry Bodies in Conviction. Unless I missed up on the tutorial. Blacklist was okay, but no Ironside means no Sam IMO

I also, like how the Npc's talk shit to Fisher. Egging him on, forcing his movements. It is always fun to hear what they say, about how he would be killed if he shows his face, or him hiding in the dark is what pussies do. Lol i give a lot of critic to the writers for that classic touch on Splinter Cell games. 😄

I have been to Malta, and it's capital city - Valletta :D 2 months ago actually. Aaaaand the city doesn't look ANYTHING like this :D It's just a colection of.... Female oriented generic overpriced botique shops, and flags... And some shacks near the shoreline which appear to be in the state of neglect and decay. Sad part is - according to the map, the most pretty part - the whole castle/fortress type thing at the tip of the coast.. It's not even considered as a part of the city. Of course you have St. Pauls cathedral, filled with gold. it is impressive, and if all these ornaments on the wall is SOLID GOLD, than that cathedral is worth more than the entire Malta :D But aside from that, to be brutally honest - Valleta is just collection of shops for rich guys. It's dissapointing really. Oooh and I like this game :D One of the best splinter cell games :D The only one I played actually. Aaaand there was this black list, but the controls were so horrible, and this annoying mouce acceleration thing.. Made the blacklist really suck.

Gamematics I was commenting on the way you were playing Lol. I know, the story, and yeah, he was definitely pissed. I just played it like him like he was the ex-Navy SEAL, and covert op he is. I see where you are coming from though. I actually played this game as non lethal as I could, only killing people when the game forced me to. It was quite challenging.

Gamematics Okay, point taken. I played it like a pissed off SEAL who didn't want to get shot then Lol. The darker tone was demonstrated in his attitude enough, I didn't think that the same I had seen in all the previous entries, and read in some of the books would go Rambo to get revenge. Cold and calculated, but never Rambo. But alas, that is why Ubi gave the option, so you could play however you want. Play a stealth game like Call of Duty, and vice versa Lol.

+RushInNinja yea the beauty of it all is that you and i can play different styles and still enjoy the game any way we choose. I too have done the full stealth route. Very fulfilling. I played this game movie in the manner in which I thought best fit the situation for the character.

the classic trilogy to splinter cell will always be the best. double agent, eh switching between classic and new... anyway, conviction was very good for a new splinter cell. after that, it got bad when michael ironside left...

This was a fun game, but it’s not a good Splinter Cell game. It strays too far away from stealth. Killing and blowing up everything and everyone in his path has never been Fisher’s MO.

I'm stuck on a mission

This has to be the worst Splinter Cell game, the story isn't so bad just not written very good, some of the lines are kinda cheesy, and I feel like it forgets everything that happened in Double Agent but Lambert's death. Then there is the start of this game... At the end of Double Agent Sam has the police after him in New York City and he's trying to get away from them as they think he's become a terrorist, then Conviction starts and he's getting ready for some dinner in a different country. Ya see the problem there? What happened between those two games, no cut scenes, no gameplay, hell it isn't even told to us what happened between those two games. There is a huge space of unknown info. He couldn't of gotten a plane ticket being chased by the police. There is a lot of telling and not showing, and sometimes neither of those.

Patriot Clips the events in between Double Agent and Conviction were covered in Splinter Cell Essentials (PSP). One year after the events of Double Agent. Sam Fisher sneaks into Elysian Fields Cemetery to visit the grave of his daughter, Sarah, on the anniversary of her death. Fisher is arrested at the grave site, taken into custody and interrogated. During this time, Sam recalls past events, that are then played as missions. The PSP game and I believe a comic book fill in the events in the middle....Conviction is when Sam finally starts figuring out that his daughter might still be alive....

Gamematics I know about Essentials, I've played it, I just forgot to bring it up, Essentials still ends with him running away from the government, still a huge space between that. Plus they shuld of just made Essentials either part of a bigger game or still it's own but on the Xbox 360/PC/PS3 if it was going to cover large plot points like that.

I believe there was a comic or book in between the events of Essentials and Conviction as well....but still like I said there are alot of people that enjoyed this story and it would have been cool to see it fully covered.
