You have GOT to use proper protection working in the shop. "Welders are at risk for photokeratitis when their eyes are exposed to bright flashes or “arcs” of UV radiation while welding. This type of corneal welding injury is also known as “arc eye” and “flash burn.” The shipyard I worked at had a graphic safety video. Use a wire wheel without eye protection - see picture of eyeball with a wire stuck in it, drilling without eye protection - see picture of eye...well, you get it. You do great work and we'd love to see you do it for years. PLEASE!!

Do you normally just use tiger seal rather than spotting or plug welding the arch lip on ? Is the result as good as good or better than welding ? Great video as usual.

Ryan please use the protective gear when welding. Your eyesight is important and welding without eye protection will eventually cause major damage that is not repairable like the cars you work on. We want to see you able to do this for a long time.
