Wars come from any reason, be it ideological, like the Crusades, or it could be some arseholes decided they could do better than who's in charge now and prompting a Civil War like in the United States of America. Its dark... But not edgy. There is some serious stuff in here but it isn't trying overly hard to be that way, and characters are still themselves. Also Marina uses photoshop to illustrate her plans.

Glad you do, :p but seriously it was such a different form for the killer wail that it honestly makes sense as a canonical name for pearl's version since it literally caused 888.8% (which i just realized is a common theme down to the fact there is 8 subways, 8 8-ball stages, 888.8% victory to NILS, and even agent 8. but here begs the question: Who is agent 5 6 and 7? If agent 8 really is the 8th does that mean that cuttlefish has memory loss? because the only other agents would be him as agent 5, agent 6 and 7 being pearl and marina, but then how did he not notice them in the 6:00 cutscene? another thing I want to note is that there is 8 mem cakes for iconic characters... o_O weird.)

Octo expansion. The ONLY game that went from "E" to "M" in under 30 seconds.

And the morals of the story are: 1. Don’t make a robot do all of your work. You’ll be lazy if you do. Besides, robots take things too literally. 2. Just because 10,008 people are disgusting doesn’t mean their entire species is awful. 3. Don’t make like a slimy little hipster and hate on mainstream trendsetters. They like what they like. Let them enjoy things.

The professor couldn't save the next race to not end up like the human race so he made a robot yo help him do so. But the robot changed and malfunctioned after many years of being alone and wants to create a new race.

The robot you were talking about is the telephone right? The telephone was created by a human professor back when humans were still alive, during that time the humans were dying due to water levels rising. So the professor made the telephone so it can save the next living race so they won't end up like humans. But the telephone ended up wanting to destroy the current race (inklings and octolings) to create a new race. Sorry if I misunderstood the "robot" Part, cause the only robots here are master tartar/the telephone.

@@reethelemon No, no, no. The professor became lazy when he let the telephone robot do all the work, not the other way around. The robot then became prejudice against humans and any other evolved species that came after them who acted like humans, which inspired them to plan on destroying them and start anew. It couldn’t understand that humans, inklings and octolings alike aren’t perfect and saw only the bad traits more than the good.

The ending when she escaped was nice to watch.

Agent pursonilities Agent 3: the quiet serios one. Agent 4: energetic goofball. Agent 8: the shy poem lover.

22:21 is the best part it’s so full of emotions and feels like a movie seen where the good guys win so cute!! I just wanna hug em all in a huge group hug!

Best Story for Splatoon by far! This is by far the closest thing that comes to the game play of mario galaxy, the story of mario galaxy, and the difficulty of mario galaxy, WHILE keeping its splatoon charm and its sort of nostalgic with captain cuttlefish back as the main guide.

I know it's 2 years later, but the Professor who created Judd wanted to help the next intelligent life form on the planet, but Commander Tartar was corrupted with it's evil views, and therefore wanted to destroy the world.

it was mentioned in a comic about splatoon that the human race had "5 great world wars" and on the 5th world war, one of the warring nations end up blowing up the south pole using nukes, flooding the earth and causing the extinction of humans. In turn, certain aquatic species evolved and became self aware, being the squids and the octopuses. Both of the races had a turf war against each other, with the squids being victorious. The octopuses were then banished underground and most modern day squids arent even aware octolings exist, as stated by pearl learning about octolings during history class in one the chat logs, well that was the case until the end of splatoon 2's single player campaign, when calamari inkantation made many octolings self aware, and free from the oppression of DJ Octavio, thats when octo expansion happens in the timeline.

*cough cough* Cephalopod People...I'm sorry. But yeah. Humans destroyed themselves through war, then cephalopods crawled onto land and formed their own human-like civilizations that waged for against each other. Some other sea life seems to also have made the trip onto land, judging by the various species on the metro.

Loudest Booyah in the history of Booyahs

I have many thoughts after playing the Octo Expansion. A) The Telephone killed 10,007 Inkling/Human/Octolings, and is still operational even after human destruction B) The Octo Expansion (Personal Preferance) had more likable characters than the main storyline. I really liked getting to know Pearl and Marina! The Octoling had such amazing characteristics, and was adorable. C) This Expansion real,y cleared a lot of Splatoon mystery, and the thought into it was great! I really love this game!

He's an AI meant to pass humanity's knowledge down to the next worthy species. He likely came up with translations (either from kidnapping inklings and octolings or he used some advanced algorithms to simulate possible languages) so he could communicate with them before he deemed them unworthy.

Tbh, it doesn't make sense that a squid/octopus can evolve into a complex humanoid species in just 12,000 years because it takes millions of years for a primitive ape to be a modern human we see today. Unless, other human scientists genetically engineer squids/octopuses to be more intelligent and also to look humanoid.

It’s called Into the Light in case you wanted to listen to it some other time.

I wish you included the scenes from all the levels leading up to the final boss(es), since taking the power source and using it to activate the elevator upward was kind of crucial to the plot (hence why NILS relies on solar power instead). That, and the entire Metal Gear-esq sequence was a really good build-up to when you finally got a weapon.

I always cry at that ending It feels so damn good but sad 😭

The screams from tartar’s speaker are the octolings that were blended. You can hear “no stop please help no!” And then more screams

It's a happy new year countdown in reverse, people have checked this out. Plus, it sounds way too human to be Octolings.

The boss room screams, those high pitched screams from Splatoon 1 and Splatoon 2 (the 2nd boss room), those were the 10,007 octolings suffering and dying in the blender, that's why we see parts of the octolings on commander TarTar.

1) We still hear them in Sanitized Octo Samurai's arena, so unlikely to be from the Metro 2) The other 10,007 test subjects were NOT all Octolings, and some even survived by not collecting all the Thangs and "washing out" - Iso Padre is an example of both of these.

15:48 (forgot how to make time stamps) Agent 8 sees inkopolis (and pretty much the outside world) for the first time, and only about 3 minutes, has to fight a giant statue controlled by a sentient box.

The scene with pearl gives me goosebumps. The end of the ending credits make me cry...

Yup, that rap with Pearl confirms it, they’re already a band, the only thing now left unconfirmed is, “Is this while Agent 4 is in Octo canyon or right a few months or years before.

they really went all out animation-wise for this, while hero mode was still fun i would've liked to see more cinematics
