Be a Muslim with good aqeeda. Wake up for Fajr prayers & pray other prayers on time, give sadaqa, look after the orphan. Don’t let Sufi, salafis or ikhwanis groups owned you.

God I’ve been looking for something like this. Open, honest and upon Haq. Balanced approach. No crazy pseudo Sufi stuff nor the extremist pseudo Salafi slander and intolerance and ignorance. The one school I’ve found personally to be balanced is the Deoband school mashaAllaah great scholars defending the Sunnah.

Ibn taymia is NOT Shaykh Al Islam... Better you saying that according to the Salafi Wahhabi cult that he's consider Shaykh Al Islam

Read the books of Ibn Taymiyyah and see for yourself. Salafi means following the path of the “salaf”, Following the path of the prophet peace be upon him and the path his companions, and the companions of the companions, and anyone who follows the teachings of the prophet peace be upon him. And we don’t accept any innovation in Islam. And Ibn Taymiyyah May Allah have mercy on him did not accept innovations in Islam.

Shaykh Ibn Naasir al-Deen al-Dimashqi wrote a book called al-Radd al-Waafir ‘ala man za’ama anna man sammaa Ibn Taymiyah Shaykh al-Islam kaafir, in which he refuted one of the fanatical Hanafis who claimed that it was not permissible to call Ibn Taymiyah “Shaykh al-Islam”, and that the one who did that was a kaafir. In it he mentioned eighty five imams, all of whom described Ibn Taymiyah as Shaykh al-Islam, and he quoted their words from their books to that effect. When al-Haafiz Ibn Hajar (may Allaah have mercy on him) read this book - al-Radd al-Waafir - he wrote an introduction to it

Ibn Taymiyyah's Deviations from the Muslims Know that, although Ibn Taymiyyah had many writings and a fame, he is as the Muhaddith, Hafiz, Faqih, Wali-ud-Din al-’Iraqi, the son of the Shaykh of Huffaz, Zayn-ud-Din al-’Iraqi, in his book "al-'Ajwibat-ul-Mardiyyah" said about him: His knowledge is bigger than his mind. He also said: He infringed the Ijma’ in many issues, which was said to be sixty issues, some of which are in the Usul and others in the Furu’ [Al-'Usul is ‘Ilm-ut-Tawhid, the Science of the belief in Allah and His Messenger.
