Mike is brilliant. Knowing him as long as I have, his brain just works differently. He can map out a lead line out of anything, and make it sound completely unique.

One of the things that always impresses me with your playing is your volume control. I absolutely do not have that muscle memory built in and it's super satisfying to hear you pull off those swells live

starting at 2:10 you can see him compulsively making sure volume is all the way up. That knob is a key piece to his playing for sure.

It all sounds cool, but I do especially like the raking sound he makes in between the chords he's playing. It adds a cool uniqueness to it.

Could be wrong but to my knowledge Gojira invented that technique. The first time I ever heard it was in 2005 when they released From Mars To Sirius.

I’m beyond stoked that this band is getting the recognition they deserve. Each of them individually had remarkable talent, and the way they compose each song just highlights those skills.

Something about that pickup section @3:23 just got me I love it

This is the most beautiful thing I've ever on an 7 string guitar in awhile, those ambiance high string notes are very beautiful during trips and stuff

Honestly have to say, I am an electronic fan. Mostly Drum and Bass, haven’t heard an entire metal album all the way through since Meshuggah’s Chaosphere. Way back when. I came across ‘Hurt You’ a couple days ago and decided to give the rest of the album a listen… I haven’t heard a band with as much range, uniquely beautiful sounds or lead vocals as I have with you guys. Your band is truly unique and I have no doubt that you are on track to reshape the core of this music scene. You all deserve everything coming to you! Don’t change a THING!!!!

I've always had this fascination with how guitarists work their instruments, but this to me is like seeing magic performed

THAT IS A MASTERPIECE FROM START TO FINISH. EVERY PART.

Mike is one of those players where you can really sink into his playing and find little details you might have missed the first time around.

This played randomly while listening to Spiritbox while I was driving back to home and listening to this was an absolute pleasure!

The chord progession in the chorus is the perfect representation of what we all want to hear in a song. Love the transformation/build up to towards the end (and everything else about this song :D).

That last chorus groove is soo tasty

Truly makes you appreciate all the ambiance created in the track. And that outtro riff when they go double time is so sick to watch.

This instrumental is a work of art! You know the band is exceptional, when the song is an absolute banger even without vocals.

This.... This is what we all need! The heavy, the squeally- rakey thing, the groove, all of it.

The instrumental songwriting is insane. It's so well crafted. They know to pull back and when to go for it and it never sounds too busy or too sparse.

Just recently discovered Spiritbox and now I'm hooked. Awesome.

Stuff like that makes me happy. Spiritbox overall makes me happy.

The balance/dynamics of this song are so on point.

This was awesome! It's good dope artists do this cuz it really let's us non musicians see how much really goes into your songs. Killer job man!

Aside from this being such a good song and playthrough, the video production and lighting is quite elegant and fitting the vibe of this tune, awesome job folks!

It’s perfectly well written guitar part, some part shining out, some part soaring in the background amplify the vocal track. Superb!

I didn't fully appreciate the guitar parts of this song until I watched you play through them. I like how you set the groove, but vary things from there. The contrast between heavy, down-tuned rhythm and The Edge style echoed cleaner parts works so well. This is great guitar work sneaking in under Courtney's voice and those big drums.
