Spiralized Sweet Potato Fried Rice I Vegetarian Spiralizer Recipe

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Welcome to our cooking series, "Everyday Inspiralized" with Ali Maffucci, the founder of Inspiralized®. Ali will be cooking some of her favorite spiralized meals that can be incorporated into your everyday - easy, simple, comforting dishes that are light on the hips but absolutely flavorful- and made with the Inspiralizer®, the kitchen tool that turns veggies and fruits into noodles!
In this episode, we are making our Spiralized Sweet Potato Fried Rice. This healthy, spiralized version of fried rice using spiralized sweet potatoes that have been pulsed into rice-like bits instead of, well, “regular rice. There’s something about the sweetness and texture of the sweet potatoes that make this highly nutritious version of fried rice a hit. I make it all the time in the winter - it saves well for work lunches and is totally customizable. Top it with shrimp, chicken, pork, or amp up the protein the vegan way, with edamame or tofu.

I cut the middle piece and mix it in with the spiralized vegetables. I also cut the left over pieced into thin strips and use together with the spirals or throw them into soup Also put the vegetable with the widest part close to the blades so the left over piece is the smallest part of the vegetable.

You're supposed to make a very thin egg omelet in the beginning and set it aside then you roll it up and you cut it into thin strips and added into the rice that is already cooked and Ready-to-Eat. You can also scramble the eggs but it is always done first.

I have had a problem with my Spiralizer tearing up the sweet potato, onion, or potato with its round toothy end. I cut the end off a couple of times, wasting the potato for this recipe. Saved the cut off part for something else. Ideas on how to keep the toothy holding piece from doing that? It is frustrating and I gave up and hand turned the potato.

@@GetInspiralized And that is exactly what I use -- carrots because they are lower carb and starchy food ingredient. There's more than 5 grams of STARCH alone plus sugars in 100 grams of sweet potatoes and I don't need that to kick my blood sugars at all. And 100 grams of carrots is just as sweet tasting when cooked, and they only have 0.23 g of STARCH so my blood sugars don't go up.
