Spin with me: Autumn Rainbow Fractal Yarn!

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

APOLOGIES FOR THE SOUND IN THE FIRST 5 MINUTES :(
Hello friends! I had an itch, and spinning a autumn rainbow 3-ply fractal yarn scratched it just right. Over the past couple of videos you have seen me dye a lot of random bit of wool, and now it's finally time to spin them together. this is my first time spinning an actual three ply yarn, other than chainplying, and also my first time spinning a fractal yarn. A complex mathematical pattern spun by a chaos goblin?
Another first time in this video is me using a microphone for my audio. And I'll apologise for the first 5 minutes directly. I was not familiar with the microphone yet and my braid kept falling against it as well. Luckily I learned from my mistakes and went full on crown braid for the rest of the video.

Hi Jente, I hope you're OK xx ❣️❣️ I've watched this video podcast a couple of times and don't know why I've not commented before. Thankyou so much for sharing this video podcast on doing a "Fractal Spin " especially from the way you set your fibres out. This made it so easy to use small amounts of fibres instead of breaking a Braid down.🐑 Thanks again for sharing this video podcast. I love your finished Yarn it looks amazing. Happy Spinning Fibre Friend 🎡🐑🥰 Take care and stay safe Lots of love and Big Hugs Jen xxxx ❤️❤️🫂🫂🐕

"not atomic-bomb explosion, but more like you-left-your-bottle-of-champagne-too-long-in-the-freezer explosion" - this is why you deserve all these new subscribers, you're very funny! And you make really interesting and beautiful projects! I love fractal spinning, I'm hoping to try it out for my next spin. I have three colors of the same wool ready to go, just have to figure out if I want to buy a fourth bobbin or if I'll settle for a two-ply fractal (or do some very creative shenanigans and transfer one ply from the bobbin to a chopstick or something for plying?). As far as measuring everything: I split the 100 grams of Texelaar from my last spin into almost perfect halves, and still ended up with one bobbin running out quite a way before the other, so measuring isn't everything either! (Although that might have just been me getting better at spinning and therefore the second bobbin having more even and thinner yarn, so it made more yarn out of the same amount of floof...)

My first wheel, Bernadette, only has two bobbins, so when I only had her I used a toiletpaperroll to wind one of the bobbins on 😅 Thank you for your compliment, it made me very happy 😁

Hello, I'm a new subscriber from the Tennessee mountains in the US. I can not remember for sure how I came to find your channel but most likely I was binge watching fiber related channels and youtube recommended yours. I'm very glad that it did. It's nice to get a feel for your personality that you just can't get with more organized video styles. Plus the process is rather relatable. I came here a few weeks ago while binging spinning videos, actually. Also yes the voice recorded with the oversensitive mic early on was kinda painful but the rest was MUCH better. I love the fractal spin, it's nice to see how even seemingly subtle shade differences can have a lot of character when contrasted in that way.
