I’m not a hunter but I so enjoy watching archery elk hunts. Yes the bonus would be to harvest during each hunt; but you gave it your best and we thank you for all your efforts!
This is the best video I’ve ever seen mimicking exactly howI hunt my wilderness area in Colorado. I love all the video on how you do everything instead of just showing the hunting. I’ve hunted elk 15 years in same area last 5 by my self. I’m 67 and hunt around 10,000 feet. Watching this is like watching myself I love it.
Great video. Ive hunting that area for the last decade and you have to be in the woods before daylight or at first light to start calling and make a move. I’m often chasing a blood trail or a bunk by 9:15. I shot my 6x5 at 7:18 on sept 3rd in trails last year on day 2 of my trip. I had him cut up and hung in the trees by 9:15. And every bull came in silent and took their time there is a lot of pressure and they are very cautious until full rut. Good luck next year guys keep up the content. Be safe in that trail when it’s wet it’s VERY dangerous seen a lot of injuries in that mountain.
👍👍. Always a blast being in the high country, meat or no!
Awesome realistic hunt. Thanks for letting me tag along with you and I can't wait to go on some more hunts with you guys. I love it and can't get enough. Come on September.
Love the videos! Thanks for sharing!
Love your video guys! I’m going on my 3rd archery hunt for elk in September and can’t wait! Still have not bagged my first elk yet but I will never give up! Question, what’s your opinion about 44, 45, 47 & 444?
Great video & hats off to you guys for all the hard work ! Frickin awesome !!! Joel how do you like the Bushnell bino pack. Thanks again for sharing your adventures & elk knowledge, Rock on 🤘🏼
Solid video. I’ll be headed out to Colorado after archery elk this September. I hope my video turns out this good.
Looking forward to the next video! ❤️
Great video! God is good! Memories made! I was routing the whole time for that big elk to show up for you both! I'm still trying to get my first WT. It's not just about the harvest! Well done!
Awesome video as usual, I experienced the same luck on my Colorado elk hunt as well. No bulges all week, I couldn’t locate them, got in bow range of one cow, no bull. Still had a great time with beautiful views, awesome hikes and can’t wait till next year!
Up and at it before sunlight
First off you made a great video. On a more personal note when I first saw you as I was scrolling for for elk videos you reminded me of someone. My elk partner of 8 years was a Law enforcement officer. He retired early because of his PTSD. I lost him last year due to suicide. You look a little like him. Especially the beard. I hope you find a willing bull next year and your arrow hits its mark.

Sorry for your loss my friend. ❤️ I appreciate the kind words! God bless!
Much respect for the effort. CO kicked my teeth in but I’ll be back.
I reckon sir you need to practice more on your bugling and calf calling ability. All around good video but definitely recommend you practice your calling
I did enjoy watching, one thing you can do is to be out of that tent way before daylight. I have always seen more elk doing elk things at daylight than I have in the evening.
Where did you get the holster on your bino harness?
That's why they call it hunting!
Care sharing if this was a 2 or 3 point unit?
Any idea what your pack weight was?
What pack are you carrying on this trip
It was a good video regardless of no elk. Just a big suggestion would be to be out of your tent at least an hour before daylight. I’ve been hunting elk for 25 years and find a lot more success being out hours before light as countless times you hear a bugle and by daylight everything is dead quiet. You wouldn’t have know. The elk were there. Especially relevant in wolf infested areas like thick timber of Idaho. Also just to correct those trees are not pines. They are firs. Good luck this coming fall.
Can we get a Whitetail Fit vs @ElkShape fitness and 3D challenge vid?

no offense, but I'd put my money on Dan with that one. 😂😂
We never left a meat pole up. I was told it was bad luck. Must have been for you two. You slept under it. Just saying. I've packed back 13 miles with my mules into the San Juan many times.
That’s hunting if it was easy everyone would do it

You need better boots. Wet feet and blisters in 4 miles. That’s bad
