I didn’t grow up hunting, although in 2016 my son was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. So I began teaching myself how to hunt because my boy can eat all the game meat he wants without having to give himself an insulin shot. I haven’t filled an elk tag yet, although the info in this video is the best I’ve come across in my journey of learning. Thank you so much! I feel I’ll have much better odds this year!

Next best thing you can do is just get out there... There is plenty of vehicle access to camp out & run around having fun trying to call elk... A $5 wiffle ball bat made into a bugle tube & a 3 pack of elk calls are about $20 - Works.....

Three years ive barely see them rifle hunting, bought a bow last fall, practiced all summer in my back yard, again barely seen or called in anything the first couple weeks, i was using a primos bugle with a rubber diaphragm and i could not get the tone or carry the sound, bought a mouth diaphragm and removed the mouth piece on my original bugle, watched a couple of your videos...6 bulls 2 days within 50 yards, a few were spikers, and the other on the fence line where i couldnt hunt but, this is coming together. thank you for sharing!!!! Paul your the man!!!

Paul is an elk killer and a wonderful teacher in hunting elk and communicating successful tactics. Love the slow play, the mindset, and the scenarios that he presents to adjust to any bull elk that crosses your path. Thank you again for this video!

Watched this last night. Went out tonight. Pulled a bull out of its bed at 6pm. Came quite the distance too. No locate bugle on my end. Tho he made me at 30yards. Think winded me. Didn’t get to see him as he never created the hill.

He mentioned the blind calling sequence in his app. Could you do the slow play sequence in a “blind” scenario where you haven’t heard any elk but you try the slow play in a spot where you know they bed?

Lol! The bull in my pic was called into 15 yards with a hoochie mama (I hadn't learned to use a diaphragm call yet). They definitely work but I absolutely prefer diaphragm calls and a bugle tube. Good luck out there this season!

I think elk know how to call on their own! I don't think they need a seminar! I mean really, what next are you going to have a ponderosa pine seminar and peach trees to be green? What are you do provide the elk with a whistle? Well there's a big difference you know between the I want to fight you sound and I want to f u sound so I sure hope you get it right! Or there's going to be a lot of unhappy elk hanging around your front yard!

the guy just making it all seems complicated just to immerse himself in In fact, no hunter in Asia hemisphere do these, and they still kill every four legged being around without giving out a sound with homemade bow or a throwing spear It's a known fact the way American grown up, it make them like children... still to their adulthood still pretend playing in scenario with non existent things... Kind of cute to be honest (why i love Americans.. they are like children to us)
