I simply love the fact that Otto actually knows that Peter is Spider-man, but when Peter mentions that his family could be in danger, Otto makes him believe that he thinks that he's the guy who designs the stuff for Spider-man. That's just brilliant.

@@SevenZeroEleven Nah man. The "you knew" works real well. Peter says it once, surprised and confused. And then he says it again, this time angry and hurt. It means every action Otto took (releasing devil's breath etc) he took knowing full well he was doing it to Peter, not just Spider-Man. Peter had been fully betrayed by the man he saw as a father and mentor.

@@SevenZeroEleven Maybe. I can definitely see where you're coming from but I feel that's just a rabbit-hole and not much of a major issue. You could easily say Spider-Man dropped the suit off and gave it to Peter to fix after Otto supposedly left for the night to keep the lie going. I personally don't think Peter is gullible because the whole idea is that you'd never think someone like Peter could moonlight as Spider-Man so perhaps he thinks he's managed to pull the wool over Doc's eyes. And of course, Otto isn't trying to decieve him as much as he's trying to put him at ease, but that's just my two quid.

I hate how Otto is so sweet right now because I know it won’t last

@@sprokitt66 I agree with you there... I feel that's what he did. A super Genius like otto would've definitely figured out why Peter really had the suit within moments... Even if he could be in denial, he knows. And since later on, you can find a message directly meant for Peter to find, if you end up searching through the staging ground for Icarus, he talks about Peter... Not mentioning he's spiderman, obviously, but still, hinting at it, with saying "If you find this..." He has some idea, most likely, but it wasn't necessarily confirmed until that recording was heard.... Also, why else would Spiderman/Peter be warned to stay out of the S6's way?

It was purposeful. We all knew where it was headed, so they made Otto as friendly and altruistic as possible so his transformation hits us harder.

This game captures the humanity of Spider-Man so well - better than most of the movies do, I reckon. Almost everything you do in the game is a reminder of why Spidey is so unique, not just in the Marvel Universe but among superheroes in general. Yes he climbs walls, he swings between skyscrapers and he doesn't have to worry about getting to the subway on time. But he doesn't live above the people, he doesn't act above the people. He's genuinely the people's superhero.

OfficialRonin If that does happen I hope it is short lived. I always hated that a villain swapped brains with my favorite hero and took over his life. At least the story had a satisfying ending along with a great comeback line to show the original was back in his body.

@@madeyecollector Superior Spider-Man was definitely one of my favorite Spidey storylines to ready especially when you see how a villain takes on the hero's mantle and the responsibilities that come with it. I think incorporating the Superior Storyline especially with hinted Miles Morales being playable will be such an awesome exploration for an idea (Miles fighting Ock-controlled Spidey). Damn Insomniac should hire me.

The new trailer included spidey with Octavius' tentacles, maybe in order to fully remember Otto in his suit he actually made a better arms(no side effects) to help him with fighting

No, Otto definitely knew. He simply decided to act like he didn’t in order to give Peter a peace of mind that his secret was safe.

God it’s such a shame, because they had so many great suits in the game, then they had this as his main suit. It’s such a great fucking suit I hated changing to an unlocked one.

It is like a perfect comic accurate suit. The red is the perfect shade and the costume has a nice small spider symbol. I understand that they made the advanced suit to show that it's thier spiderman but I feel like the classic is better

Why would you change to the unlocked ones then? Was seperating the suit abilities from the suits not part of the game at launch?

I do know alot of people hate this suit, although it's my personal favorite, I just like the unique white spider being big and alot more blue on the body giving a pretty modern feel, the red is a bit of an issue, it's kinda too orange, I'd rather just do a bad-ass pose and go to photo mode so it looks red in a certain lighting than torture my eyes in the suit menu, overall a 8.9/10 in my opinion

@@eskadoodle23 yes and no. back in 2016 the suit stirred up a lot of conversation about it. think of it like the face model with the remaster. but now that Spiderman 2 is out for people who play it today has no problem about it you know? people got used to it.

Seeing this suit is kinda happy and sad. Because he designed and upgraded his suit not to protect Spider-Man but his best friend Peter 😢😢

I just don’t like it as much cause of the PS4 version looking “orange”, the head looks super skinny and small, weird, and I just really love the classic red and blue, the white is fine done right. I feel like the white bleeds over into the blue and just doesn’t look as crisp. I love the updated version for the sequel though.

Personal taste probably, personally i like suits with a stronger red and blue, like Spiderpunk and Scarlet Spider, this one has a more "pale" tone, though the design is cool

It took a while at first, but the advanced suit really grew on me. I think this one, the original one, and the first Stark Suit are my favorite Spider-Man outfits.

I think Octavius was just playing dumb, saying that he was Spider-Man's assistant, so the "YOU KNEW!!!" on the final battle was a little bit stupid, on my opinion

It’s weird if you play this game on new game plus and you have a different suit selected they cut the part where Peter wakes up to ottos notes on suit design. It just fades out after otto leaves and then the next scene is him running out in the morning in whatever suit you’re wearing. I mean logically it makes more sense but it’s kind of weird.

Chalk it up to how you interpret the story. Otto pretty much had figured it out after he saw Pete fixing the suit, but purposely denied it by saying Pete works for Spidey instead of actually being Spidey. He decided to play along (and in the hopes Pete would tell him the truth anyway) thus helped improve the suit. This is also played at the climax revealing that Otto knew Pete was Spidey all along and at certain points hoped Spidey would not become an obstacle to his path of vengeance against Norman.

It's sad because Otto playing dumb and fixing/improving Peter's suit is some of the last acts of kindness he does for him before completely giving in to his dark side. Reminds me of Dutch from RDR2.

Why? The white spider symbol makes it pop out more than it previously has. It's more of a sportswear/parkour design that fits Spider-Man as he's swinging through the concrete jungle of New York in style.
