Spider-Man Far From Home Looks Great (But the fandom sucks)

Фильм және анимация

Thanks to my good pal Scooter or whatever his name is for editing this video. I was like 400% sure I wasn't gonna make this video because of THOOOOOSE people, but Scott saw that I had the script written and he edited this in less than 2 hours. Anyway Mortal Kombat part 2 coming like this week and I'm very proud of my editing on that one.

either way you got to see things from those people's perspectives (not that I disagree with you) they're constantly put down by fan who prefer Spider-Man being a 27 year old wallflower or fans who actually have evidence of why they don't think homecoming is good as a Spider-Man movie

Yup, every fandom has a side that enjoys the franchise in a different way than you do. Does not make them any less valid as fans. Everyone is a hardcore fan of something, and everyone started as a casual fan of something. If you like a certain aspect of a franchise you are a true fan. That's all that is required. Elitists are the true enemy. They suck the fun out from things that are supposed to be fun. They are the ones who bitch and moan about a franchise not being how they exactly want it. Never let elitism take root.

MCU Spider-Man is not the definitive Spider-Man. However he works within the context of the MCU. For example Thor in the MCU is NOTHING like 616 Thor. It’s great you’ve told your take on what this trailer holds and also addressing the over exaggerated hate and praise MCU Spidey gets. It really sucks that everyone was so excited when he first appears in the Civil War trailer and then lead to such a huge tear down the middle between fans. The thing is, this Spider-Man isn’t meant to be comic accurate. I may not agree or like some of the changes in Homecoming, but I understand that some were necessary to be different in comparison to the other films and even the comics. MCU Spidey represents the youth that has yet to explore the world that all these heroes are in. To see what they do and how the new generation will take on their mantle and be held responsible for what they’ve left behind. A legacy that is uphold by new faces with the same motivations. To tackle any problem, to look danger in eyes, to protect people, and to make a stand against all odds. That’s what I think this version is Spider-Man is. To carry on what the heroes before him held for years. Is there things about him that don’t sit right with me? Yeah. But that’s not a bad thing. He’s just not the Spider-Man I identify with the most. But he still has many elements of what makes Spider-Man, well, Spider-Man. And that’s enough for me in my books :)

Honestly people who say MCU Peter is most comic accurate don't really understand the character and have the only requirements for being comic accurate for the actor to look young, say forgettable quips and appear nerdy. They totally forget the responsibility aspect of Spider-Man and how he is able to complete tasks without the help of a billionaire. And don't even get me started on Peter wanting to be an avenger as his only character motivation. Honestly Sam Rami didn't do a perfect job to portray an accurate comic book version of Spider-Man but Tobeys Spider-Man is the most accurate Spider-Man when it comes to his goals values motivations and understanding consequences of his being Spider-Man. Let me just finish with this. When I look at Sam Ramis Peter Parker I see Peter Parker and when I see Mcu Peter Parker all I see is Tom Holland portraying what he and the studio believes Peter Parker to be. It's really sad at this point. I really hope Far from home puts him on track again and that the studio will continue to create amazing touching beautifully written movies that are a joy to watch again and capture the magic of the world of Spider-man like how insomniac and into the spider verse has.

Good points are made, but I'd argue Homecoming had the traditional Spider-Man drama in the 3rd Act but really no where else. It was all there though. Peter having to choose between his personal life and the right thing, deciding that it's his responsibility to take care of the problem, saving the villain at the end because of his No-Kill rule.

I feel like the most comic accurate Spider-Man would have to be a cross between Toby’s (I’m sorry if I’m spelling his name wrong) nerdy charm and humility as Peter Parker, Andrew’s cockiness and supposed stupidity as Spider-Man, and Tom’s energy and clear love of science (I mean, he developed his own web fluid, and the captain of his national decathlon team from a school that is for the intellectually gifted, said that he was the smartest one on the team and didn’t need to study). Also, his humor needs to be good, only antagonizing the villains to the point that they can’t focus very well, and doesn’t come off as some guy in spandex who’s just being a blatant asshole to everyone he comes across. Basically, just Yuri Lowenthal’s adaptation for Marvel’s Spider-Man (PS4), he really nailed it. Again, this is just my opinion, you don’t have to agree with it or anything. No need to cause a giant argument in another series of comments between two people (which I’ve seen a good bit of in this video’s comment section).

I love those films, but I think his spiderman was the least accurate of the 3 we have had, at least when he was in the suit. Spiderman has always been quippy and taunts his opponents to keep them off guard. Rami is great at that(see the evil dead series), if he would have given Spidey more lines like that he would be hands down the best interpretation of the characters

  • @arthand7672

    @arthand7672

    5 жыл бұрын

@I’m gonna put some dirt in your eye oh they are great movies, dont get me wrong. But if you've ever read a spidey comic, his quips are just another tool in his arsenal. He keeps his foes flustered and frustrated and it helps him to defeat them. I love the films but it's like batman without his gadgets. Andrew's spidey sucked in alot of ways, but the way he taunted and teased Rhino getting him more and more pissed off was pretty much exactly how spidey acts. Spidey is much better in the Russo's films then in homecoming in this regard, as he does come across as bumbling in his solo movie. But if you look at how he is in civil war and infinity war, hes much better. Tobey's spiderman does this perfectly in the match with bonesaw in the first movie, keeps him angry and beats him in his blind rage, but we don't really see that with any of the other villains. Probably because most of the villians are sympathetic and he knows them on a personal level, but i guess I just wish I got to see him being more quippy in fights

I think people are mistaking comic accurate to looking like a 15/16 year old Peter Parker ALSO the stark suit + red and black suit without the massive black bands and with slightly altered webbing LOOKS the most like 616 man. I reckon TASM 2’s suit with moving eyes and a smaller spider would look most like 616 Spider-Man. Anyway yeah I think people automatically think that if something looks like something else it IS something else. Take for example the ‘if this be my destiny’ moment in Homecoming. Most non comic readers probably heard it was from the comics and would automatically assume that this is the most comic accurate Spider-Man based on that one thing.

So technically here is my experience with the fandom of all the actors.. ( the weird ones in general ) Tobey: The really old people who think they know everything and also never wants to get over him .And god FORBIDDEN you dare say something about Tobey because they WILL threaten you. Trust me on this, I said he looked funny while crying and he threatened to kill me. Andrew: Mostly the people who never saw the comics and think that he looks gangster. Or just Gwen fans who overdose on Spider-Gwen x Spider-Man. Tom: Every girl legit wants to marry the poor guy. Most of them are kids who think hey are hot. Or, they are really big comic nerds and saw e v e r y bit of detail in it because every bit of that movie is good for the sequel apparently. Also, theorist dream.

I honestly have one flaw from the trailer, it’s the inclusion of nick fury. Don’t get me wrong, I will love seeing them interact, but I just feel like marvel is worried every time I see him. As if they can’t have someone from the MCU be in a Spider-Man movie. I just want to see Spider-Man be Spider-Man, I don’t need MCU stuff.

Sadly it's part of the Marvel/Sony deal. Marvel has to let at least two MCU characters appear in the Spider-Man movies whether in supporting roles or cameos. The only thing to wish for is if those cameos don't steal the spotlight or are just character backgrounds or something

Solar animations What's the point of having him being in the MCU if there are literally no other characters? It's not like Fury is going to be the center of attention and provide any more of a role than just getting help from Spider-Man. Plus, at least Fury is A LOT more likable, more mature, and more respectful of others than Stark, so we aren't going to see anyone constantly talking down to him and screwing him over.

SomethingScanning so you’re telling me, that because I have a minor worry about FFH, that means I hate the MCU and should stop watching? You’re joking right? Because I’m worried that marvel is going to keep forcing crossovers when they’re not needed, that means I should stop watching? Look, I love the MCU, and I like MCU Spider-Man, but Spider-Man in the MCU hasn’t gotten much of a chance to shine on his own without another marvel character being there. I just want to see Spider-Man and feel Nick Fury is unnecessary. Was The first Iron man good because Nick Fury was at the end credits? No, it was good because of Iron mans character and the supporting characters. Was black panther good because they had Bucky show up at the end credits? No, it was good for it’s interesting villain, great plot and filled with great character moments. What I’m saying is that you can make MCU movies without forcing other marvel characters in the films. I would be fine if Nick Fury was an after credit scene, but he’s part of the main film, and is probably going to supply Peter with his suit. It just doesn’t grow Peter much. He should be the one making his own suit, not Furry. To be fair though, maybe marvel won’t do that, but it’s just something that I’m worried they’ll do. I want to see Peter make his own suit, maybe even take the previous stark suit and add his own upgrades and additions. I think that would be interesting. So don’t go telling people to ‘stop watching the MCU’ just because they have a minor worry about a film.

I think ffh will be cool I’m just glad we aren’t in an alternate universe where you talk about Star Wars content, the idea alone makes me want to get Gwen Stacy’d. More just fear the fandom lol.

Oh man, the Star Wars fanbase has gotten so bad. It makes me sad to see my favorite fictional series filled with such terrible infighting and cynicism. It's gotten to the point where I actively hate the larger part of fandom now. I really wish it wasn't this way.
