That’s not going to happen 👎. I think Sony is smarter than Marvel studios and plus Spider-Man came from Sony not from Kevin Feige’s Marvel Studios.

The only good Spiderman movies that Sony are releasing by themselves are the animated Spiderverse movies and Venom.

I think Marvel wants to take over the Spider-Man 4 production because they're seeing the reactions of Marvel fans with the new movies. They just want Spider-Man 4 to be a slight palette cleanse and begin a new, maybe better age of Marvel movies going forward.

Also I think that over time I think feigi will altogether leave spiderman for his mental peace. Imagine going back to this studio everytime to knock some sense in them. Feigi has been involved with sony since tasm 2. This constant back and forth will leave anyone exhausted .

Based on how much money mcu spider man movies make and the fact he's the most popular mcu character at the moment I doubt he'll let go of spidey without a fight

Sony should just give the rights back to Marvel. Spider-Man 4 needs to be a street level story. The only good thing about Sony's Universe that Marvel could use is a crossover between Tom Holland's Spider-Man and Tom Hardy's Venom.

It’s not that simple, remember the Spider-verse moves and PS5 Spider-Man games,They did good outside Madame Web, if they give away their licenses rights for Spider-Man, then the Spider verse and the insomniac Spider-Man games, would be cancelled. If anything, I think Marvel and Sony can come in terms of agreement and Sony should accept that a street level Spider-Man is not a bad idea after all.

They really should just get Raimi or whoever wrote the Spectacular Spider-Man to write the next trilogy.. also, since we're guaranteed to have that little piece of Venom appear around SM4 or 5, I really hope they save it for Avengers: Secret Wars, and then it goes into SM5.

Sony and Marvel both need an overhaul in their companies if they want their profits to keep coming in. If both sides don't change, then its all over for them and possibly the Spider Man franchise as well.

Hey, Sony! Here's a bright idea, how about you stop interfereing in Spider-Man films and let the film makers craft their own vision instead of another multiversal film for you to just grab money from!

As a Sonic fan, I'm getting terrible Flashbacks to when Sonic was on top of the world with Unleashed, Colors and Generations, then Sega threw it all away by spitting out Sonic 4, Lost World, and corrupting the great ideas in Forces for shitty nostalgia baiting and big crossover games with Classic Sonic, old levels, villains and motifs from all the old games, etc. Sony is dragging Spider-Man down with the ship, get that damn live-action stuff away from them PLEASE. They can keep doing games and animated movies, that's the bargain. Disney, Sony, make it happen.

Grounded, Street Level, Daredevil, Kingpin, Scorpion. This is the recipe for success that Sony needs to use! If they don’t, then that’s them choosing failure over what the fans want.

Good news is that in order to have a multiverse film they need Tobey and Andrew to sign on new deals and return. Both of them have suggested that they’ll only return if the script is great and Marvel Studios is still involved. If we don’t hear that Tobey and Andrew are returning then that may be a cue that the multiverse team up film will be scrapped.

Exactly! They & Jon Watts are the only ones who have the leverage against Sony. If Sony want MCU Spider-Man 4 to be another live-action Spider-Verse movie & wanted Tobey & Andrew back, then they have to wait until Tobey, Andrew & Jon say yes. Honestly, I doubt those three would let Sony have their way, especially Tobey & Andrew since they worked with Sony before & are still pissed on how they treated the character & movies. After working with Marvel Studios on No Way Home, they immediately saw the difference & would definitely side with Marvel, Kevin, Tom & all the fans.

Normally I don't like to say stuff like "character should be this" or "movie should be like this", but we already have our multiversal Spider-Man movie. You can't just make 2 movies back to back with the same concept. Also, if this is true, this really does say a lot on how Sony handles things. They only want to make cheap spectacles and not anything meaningful

Tom Holland's Spiderman is trash.

I think now would be the perfect time to introduce Kraven for Spider-man. We were left on on the image that Peter Parker is now completley alone trying to maintain his Super hero gig with no real vision for his future, meaning Kravens general character might fit really well as a mentor like figure for him. Plus, it could open new doors of creativity for the franchise to continue introduceing crossovers, new villains, new story plots, etc... A lot of opportunity but a lot of risk if this isn't done right.

I feel like the last movie (no way home) set it up for this next movie to be more grounded, raw, and closer to the source material of classic spidey.

Might? There’s doubt? I lost all faith in Sony a couple days ago when I found out it’s Sonys fault that Tobey McGuire and Raimis spider suit weren’t apart of the MCU.

Given what’s been happening with the MCU in recent years, and thanks to the Reign of the MCU Book, I doubt Marvel Studios will finally give us what we wanted. They’re probably gonna add new characters to set up another movie in the 4th Spider-Man film, much like what they did to Multiverse Of Madness & especially The Marvels. In fact, they’re already going to do it as White Tiger was rumored to appear in the 4th Spider-Man movie. It’s pretty clear Kevin Feige’s only doing this for the money, and that Marvel’s as bad as Sony here. And it’s not like I’m a Disney hater and I’m defending Sony here, the SonySpinoffVerse is just bad (That we can agree), but this situation is more morally grey.

well there has been a big article that came out that states SONY has "lost lots of faith" in their SSU universe because of Madame Web's failure, and there have been reports from reliable sources like RPK and cosmic circus that suggest that SONY wants to focus on animated projects while they merge with the MCU and bring their sony characters (Kraven, Venom, Madame Web etc) to join the MCU to meet Tom's Spider-Man. it's also looking like marvel and SONY are having a way closer relationship with eachother given their recent deal with disney where SONY distributes Disney's physical media. and they want Tom's Spider-man to be one of the leads of Avengers 5 (and possibly?) Secret Wars. also some better news... Cosmic Circus/Alex Perez has reported that not only is SONY considering canning their projects like EL MUERTO etc, but we're likely getting MCU Spider-Man 4 as the grounded street level movie with Daredevil, Kingpin, Scorpion, the Devil's Reign arc. etc, with SSU characters being teased at the end, and apparently may include Aaron Taylor Johnson's Kraven in the movie as well as a main villian. (other piece of news, Marvel wants directors like Wes fucking Anderson on it as well) for right now i'd say let's try to be a lil optimistic for right now at least.

I think Sony is suffering from what the MCU is suffering from after endgame marvel assumes that we would watch any they put out it was true for a time but eventually stopped working. In a similar way Sony knows spider man fans will watch anything they shit out as long it at least contains on frame of spider man.Hopefully fans stop supporting the movies if they don’t like them.

May I mention your screwed both ways, Marvel sucks too right now as well, so honestly saying Sony is the only one that can mess this up is a bit of an understatement. Hard to believe modern Marvel Studios wants to do a simple street level story that’s personal to Peter and his connections. Marvel Studios has been recently pushing like crazy to go ALL IN on the Multiverse in practically every movie/series they release for the last 4 years. I think Sony is desperate because their recent character driven/focused movies have been absolute embarrassing flops. Venom 2, Morbius, Madame Web, and I’m sure they know their Kraven movie won’t be any different. It’s for sure got the top dogs at Sony Pictures riled up. They’re definitely looking at their two most recent box office juggernauts in comparison, and are noticing a pattern. Both No Way Home, and Across the Spider-Verse are about Spider-Man’s multiverse…… and to the suits in charge, that means: Spider-Verse AUTOMATICALLY = *big money* 💵💰💵💰💵💰 They’re so caught up in trends and patterns that they don’t realize that those movies are popular BECAUSE of good writing/directing, nostalgia, great acting, and the overall feeling like it’s made by passionate fans for passionate fans. If Sony gets full creative control of Spider-Man 4, rest assured it’ll be made with every greedy disconnected executive at Sony’s hands all over it. It’ll be just as corporate and soulless as all the other Sony-Verse films they’ve been churning out. It’ll be another Amazing Spider-Man 2… only this time, they’re attempting to drag down Tobey, Andrew, and Tom’s Spider-Men together.

I think you missed a lot of the Sony disney drama about spider-man and kept saying MCU wants a street level solo Tom Holland flick. No. Yes it was big news/rumors that Sony wants another spider verse type film to be spider-man 4 and honestly that’s better what Disney rumored to have planned Originally yes MCU spider-man 4 was intended to be street level and then rumors came out then it’s gonna be a “street level avengers movie” involving daredevil punisher and then got to some of the young avengers characters. To me a actually solo street level MCUSM4 is the best but that plot has sailed for what I think rumor-wise would be the worst story possible of a young avengers x defenders x spider-man movie.
