Honestly, I believe Cindy being introduced into the storyline instead of Gwen was a better choice. We don’t get too see much content of Cindy On-Screen, and Gwen is already popular enough from Spider-Verse content.

It's also far more unique of an addition from a gameplay and lore perspective. Especially since just like with Eddie as Venom compared to Harry, we had no foreshadowing of Gwen in this series beforehand given her importance to Peter's Midtown life.

spider-Gwen is suposed to be a Gwen Stacy variant, who is Peter's live interest, she is literally girl spiderman, Silk feels more original since she feels like her own super hero rather than a female spiderman

I'm glad they went with Cindy over Gwen. Cindy Moons creators have said that they regret the route they took with her in the comics so I'm excited to see how they'll go about setting up her character and inevitable transformation into silk in the insomniac universe

@@uncle_ben_rices_nephew Dan Slott said it on Twitter, that looking back that he felt he did Silk dirty and that he fully supported the changes made to her character in her solo series. He was especially ashamed of the "Romance" between her and Peter saying that forcing a romance between her and Peter via totemic sex pheromones while unintentionally playing into the racial stereotypes associated with their relationship. Gotta give him critic, not many people when faced with the fact that they made a mistake would own up to it but Slott did and I can't help but respect him for that. As for Cindy, I'm glad that their changing her origin here though I hope they keep what helped made her character so popular during Robbie Thompson's run, that being her social disability. Turns out being locked in a bunker for 10 years has some pretty bad side effects on your psyche and makes interacting with people really hard, who knew. Also, and this is just me, I would like Cindy to get a female love interest. I'll admit that this is me being bias due to being a lesbian as I want to see myself in a character I like in a series I'm really found of but also, let's be honest, her two most notable romances suck. Her relationship with Peter was so bad that, as stated before, the writers were ashamed of and her other love interest is so boring that I can't even remember his name. Cindy's most popular pairing is with Felicia but give the age gap (Cindy has to be at least 15 while I think Felicia is at least 25 if not 30) I would rather create a new character to be her love interests who fills a similar role. I would LOVE to have a rivals/enemies to lovers arc as it's a relationship we haven't gotten in the series yet. No Miles and Finn or Peter and Harry don't count they saw each others as only friends (Peter and Venom maybe but that relationship is all kinds of fucked up) and Peter and Felicia broke up in this continuity (seriously would it really kill Marvel to have Peter, MJ and Felicia in a polyamorous relationship we know MJ and Felicia are both bi and they can get along when written well). So would be nice to have a romance that is reflective of one of Cindy's most popular stories from her solo series with a new character that has her ending up in a romance.

Same, the more I learn about her, the more eager I got when they decide to feature Cindy/Silk as a prominent character, alongside Peter and Miles (whether a future dlc or spin-off). As far as different suits, Insomniac can give Cindy her two iconic suits, along with others that pay homages to all of the Spider Women (Gwen Stacy, Jessica Drew, etc).

Yea. O thought a Spider Gwen post credits scene showing her recruiting Peter would've been great, but as for who the next member of the team should be, Cindy was a WAY better option. Also, i hope we get Agent Venom back somehow. He was so cool, and as someone who grew up with Ultimate Spiderman on Disn XD, I miss the Ultimate Web warriors. (Pete Miles, Flash as agent Venom, Iron Spider, and Kaine. So I wouldn't mind a team up akin to that. Pete, Miles, Harry, Cindy great Spider Team lineup 👍🏾

Cindy had a TERRIBLE introduction, the needless retcon to Peter's origin, her unlikable personality and her "Romance" with Peter helped to make her one of the most unpopular character when she first appeared. But Cindy is a great example of Rescued from the Scrappy Heap because thanks to other writers coming in to rework her character she went from one of the worst to one of the best and most underrated. And I like the implications of this game that Cindy's origins are getting an overhaul because that remains one of the worst elements that she's yet to escape from in the comics. This implies that Cindy will get her powers in a different way and given the age gap and how much people still hate the pheromones thing with Peter, along with the age gap and her and Miles like becoming step siblings, they'll likely remove the "Romance" angle which is a GREAT thing.

Possible storyline for Spider-Man 3: Cindy is shot by a masked mugger while she, Miles and Hailey are walking around New York. Miles barely stops the mugger, but Cindy needs a blood transfusion. Since both Miles and Cindy are blood type O+, Miles offers to transfer a blood sample over to her, feeling personally responsible for Cindy’s near-death. And Silk is born.

Personal prediction here for the future of Insomniac Marvel...if Spider-Man 2 ends up getting story DLC content (which will likely happen after they implement NG+ and other patch fixes like they said), the b-plot of these DLC will likely focus on Cindy Moon's origins as Silk, similar to how in the first game, we slowly saw through the phone calls the origins of Miles eventually becoming Spider-Man before his solo game.

@@pennywiseit6163 I think it's more likely that Carnage will be the Big Bad in the DLC and that the focus will be for the, metaphorical, battle for Yuri's soul as Peter and Carnage try to pull her more towards one side or another seeing that arc was never resolved in the game. Personally I would rather it end with Peter winning that battle and convincing his friend to spare Kasady because we already had the story of Peter trying and failing to prevent Yuri killing someone in the Turf Wars DLC.

@@pennywiseit6163 I've seen this theory before and I can't see it being done. One it undercut Norman's arc to become the Green Goblin which the series has been building up for 2 games now. Two why introduce Carnage's most iconic host only to have it go and possess Norman? It worked with Harry because Eddie has yet to appear. Also the villains for SM3 are clearly set up to be Otto and Norman who will obviously be working against each other and the Spider-Heroes. Carnage has nothing to do with that conflict, he's not tied to Otto's revenge against Norman or Norman's revenge against Peter, Miles and Cindy. Carnage as a main villain in SM3 would feel like a third wheel and he's much to big of a threat to be relugated to a Side Quest villain. He was in SM2 but that worked because he was just a cult leader who Yuri wanted to kill because he could become a bigger threat but Carnage at full form wouldn't work as a side quest villain, would be out of place as a main villain in SM3. Doesn't work as a side quest villain and people would be pissed if he was just the tutorial villain like Kingpin was in SM1, Rhino i SMMM and Sandman in SM3. My guess is next year instead of getting indivusal DLCs like with the first game we'll be getting a full on Expansion Pack that will feature Carnage as the main villain. EPs tend to be smaller then the story of the main game and seeing that SM2 is about 20 hours long my guess this will be a 10 hour campaign but I wouldn't be surprised it they had it be about 15 hours long. For me this makes the most sense, we already had a Symbiote trying to destroy New York as the main story, why repeat that for SM3? Having Carnage be a main villain for a EP means it's working as the conclusion of the Symbiote arc of SM2 where he's the main focus. Also, just putting this out there, Cindy will play a part in this EP and will get her powers about halfway through EP but won't join Peter and Miles in the fight against Carnage because she has zero training in fighting people. She will get her own Spin-Off game where she's the only character we control to help setup her as a solo hero who's as competent as Peter and Miles (and as much of a screw-up) and help setup her supporting cast so SM3 doesn't have to waste time doing just that.

About time we see Silk in a media adaptation. We couldn't see her in ATSV but it'll be fun to see and play her in Spiderman 3

I wonder how they'll go about handling her powers. Miles and Peter both have Venom powers (not the same kind of Venom but you know what I mean). In the comics Cindy's whole shtick is that she's faster then Peter and has more enhanced Spider-Sense. Which is great for the comics but in a game that's very interesting compared to being able to turn invisible and have Force Lightning.

When I first watched this scene, I didn’t know who Cindy Moon was until I looked her up (via Google). As I learned more of the character, I’m very intrigued by what plans Insomniac have for Cindy Moon/Silk. Funny how she came along days after Peter takes a break from being Spider-Man.

So excited to see Silk!!

Most people have been looking at this wrong thinking this was a tease for Spider-Man 3, they are obviously teasing a miles morales sequel! Peter is now semi retired while miles has to watch over New York, and both end credit scenes is for Spider-Man 3 (doc oc and GG team up) and miles morales sequel(Cindy moon)

I don't really see it as Peter being semi retired. It's more like what he recalled Aunt May teaching him about balance. Peter was trying to be a good Peter Parker and a good Spiderman. Right now he's learnt to trust and pass down some of his responsibility to Miles instead of just taking everything up.

Actually Silk one of the only two Spider-Heroes Jonah actually likes, the other one being Peter's daughter in a alternate timeline. In fact he's something of a second father to Cindy in her civilian persona and helps her to locate her parents (they're missing in the comics after she lost track of them while being locked in a bunker for 10 years because comic books). It will be interesting to see if they'll adapt this part of Cindy's story and I actually like the idea of Jameson softening a bit (but most certainly remaining his usual shouting self) and being supportive to at least one Spider-Hero. They could actually make a joke about it, how JJ is constantly insulting Peter and Miles but always praising Cindy even when they do the exact same thing.

Called it Spider family here we come! Hell yes!

Bruh I focused on playing the game so much, I did not even realize it could be a hint or who might Cindy actually be. Insane hint by Insomniac they are the gods of the game industry

Wonder what's next? I think Silk getting her own side game like Miles did would make sense. Otto is likely to return so I can't imagine Pete is gone for good, plus some form of Green Goblin is showing up, so "Spider-Man 3" will probably have all 3 Spider-People back at it for one last showdown.

She has no connections to Peter Parker what so ever, bringing her into the game would be a massive mistake when you can bring countless other better Spider candidates. Example: Spider-Man 2099, Miguel continues the Legacy of Peter Parker, he's the Spider-Man of the future. It's been stated that his future is the future of 616 (though you know how comics are so it can always change) there's a connection to that. Spider-Gwen: is from an alternative universe where Peter Parkers love interest got powers instead of him. Miles Morales: Originally from a universe where Peter Parker died he continued his legacy then because of multiverse shenanigans he became part of the main universe. These two have connections to the original Spider-Man while Jessica just has the name so marvel can have rights to it. While I was expecting Gwen, and find her more interesting, I think going with Cindy for the games is a great choice. Silk definition deserves more recognition and I’m glad she’s getting a spotlight next to Peter and Miles!

Is there gonna be another in between game before the third one? Spider Man: Cindy Moon? I'd honestly like that.

One theory I think why Cindy is introduced, is that she will become silk and team up with miles and I think at the end of spiderman 3, Peter will die and silk and miles will take over the mantle of spiderman ending the trilogy with leaving miles and Cindy to carry the spiderman mantle

Hopefully Insomniac makes her character different instead of having sexual relationship with Peter due to bit by the same radioactive spider that bit Peter they make her bit by other radioactive spider and have her and Peter just friends.

​​​@@dimazfantasy5252I personally think it would be good drama. Imagine this: Pete completely in love with Me and their relationship is at the point where he even makes engagement plans. But then he unwillingly falls in "Love" (ykwim) with Silk. Also: Miles and Hailey are made for eachother while MJ didn't even try to resist the urge to kill peter over some relationship problems while under the influence of the symbiote. Peters mind was clearly stronger than MJ's and had stronger reasons to kill. Some even might go as far and say that she used the symbiote as an excuse to kill peter. But that's really far fetched. But still, it would make a lot more sense to make her Pete's love interest (if she is over 18 (I am really bad at judging the ages of game characters (She could be anywhere from Miles' age to Peters age))) Ether way I love insomniacs take on SM Also sorry for the long comment and my bad English (it's not my first language)
