    Brown ladies, take note of Japanese and Korean sunscreens. They're usually chemical based and don't leave white casts (and use better/ more advanced tech that western sunscreens hehe).

    Asian sunscreens are the most cosmetically elegant ,photostabile and provide the best UVA protection

  • @Kamlloki

    @Kamlloki

    5 жыл бұрын

    Asian sunscreens are more aesthetically pleasing because of the alcohol content they put in it. European sunscreens are better in UVA protection because many of their sunscreens state the PPD value, and iv seen some that can go as high as 45+. While asian sunscreens you don’t know the PPD value past 16.

    Kaml9819 I'm a Latina and I've lived in Europe. Europeans age in dog years. Japanese age so well. I'll go ahead and trust the Japanese.

    Ipanema LMAO what ever float your boat then do it! European sunscreens DO have better PPD ratings, just look at the sunscreen bottle. European sunscreen has a UVA seal which means it HAS to be one third of the SPF. Asian sunscreens have a PA system that ONLY goes up to a PPD rating 0f 16 and we(the consumers) wouldn’t know if it was higher or not. Plus that awful alcohol they put in it!! LOL but it does feel nice on the skin!!! Ps pale skin ages. White Latinas, white asians, white Arabs, white Indians, white anything ages lol wear your sunscreen😝 Pss Europeans love to tan🙄, Asians love their white skin. That’s the difference on why they age different😂

    Thanks for this ! A lot of influencers have been addressing sunscreen and I’m glad to see that. One thing that wasn’t covered is the issue of allergic reactions and breakouts due to use of sunscreen. Some people actually admit to preferring to burn rather than experience those side effects. Let’s discuss products that affect us and narrow down the ingredients. For me it’s avobenzone (chemical) and zinc oxide (mineral). It takes hours of searching and weeks trying out different brands until I find something that works and I’m still not sure I have.

    Coolibar sun protective clothing is really helpful. It blocks out 98% of the sun's rays. I use mineral sunscreen only. I used to tan when I was in high school and have had multiple biopsies as an adult, including one excision for a small freckle that came back in the gray area between benign and malignant. Healthy skin is beautiful, no matter the shade. Fair girls, you do NOT need a tan to be beautiful! Embrace the skin you were born with and protect it!

    I've been wearing sunscreen daily since I was 16 years old, so I'm constantly searching for sunscreens that don't leave a white/gray/purple cast. It's so frustrating! I wish more manufacturers would offer tinted sunscreens that also have iron oxides. I have two questions for you two. (1) What are the best sunscreens to protect against HEV and visible light rays? (2) What's the best way to wear and reapply sunscreen over foundation?

    What about brown skin that has rosacea? I've finally got it under control and have to wear makeup (cover fx foundation and setting powder) and use CeraVe moisturizer beforehand. Is the SPF in the makeup enough? If I use the mineral sunscreens they cause me to break out too like LaRoche Posay even though my kids skin does really well with it. Any other options you can suggest?
