Speed Queen TR7003 Top Load Washer - Ratings / Reviews / Prices
The Speed Queen TR7003 is one of the most expensive top loads you can buy at $1,199. In this video, you'll learn its best features, reliability based on real service calls as well as a few problems. By the end, you'll know how the TR7003 stacks up against other Speed Queen models as well as their main competitors and whether this Speed Queen is right for you.
Speed Queen is an interesting machine. The TR7003 is a bit different than the other Speed Queen models. It doesn’t have that aggressive agitation that speed queen is known for but has more cycles and options to compensate.
It is built well, and the reviews are generally favorable. If you have had an issue with a front load or like the washer to wash better than it’s a good consideration.
However, there are a ton of good brands, so you do have other choices.

If you sell Speed Queen do you deliver to Laporte Co. ?
4/23/2022 Had the TR7 top loader Speed Queen washer delivered after months of studying the competition. Earlier this month, I found a fantastic deal on a top loader, agitator, Samsung with an enormous tub of 5.0 which is overkill for me. It could not balance two queen blankets and sheets. I had to pull them out and spin individually. Samsung had a 7 day no fee return policy so out the door it went! I waited around 3 weeks for my Speed Queen and I could not be happier. Conducted about 5 loads of wash today and it is amazingly quiet. The tub is very large, and the selection of washes and features is amazing. It is not only quiet but extremely stable. With the 7 year warranty included, you just can't get a better machine. There is pre-soak, pre-wash and you can even program your own favorite washes for a one touch selection should you choose. Delay start may be good for some and if you want hot water, it's hot water you will get. Most other brands only provide a mixture. The number one feature is this will fill water UP TO THE TOP if you so wish! Others may state this, as did my Samsung, but it was not the truth. Just get the best and be done with it for the next 30 years!

American made.. and built like a rock.. I found out today my ge dont balance right it does 2cycles to add more water to balance wasting water so I'm not worried about this machine filling up once it will still save on water go with the best speed queen
I owned my first SpeedQueen washer for 18 years and it didn’t need not event one service call. After 18 years of use with a family of 5 I gave it to my niece.
I'm glad I bought a Speed Queen TR7 last January and it replaced my 1992 Whirlpool Direct Drive Washer due to a bad motor coupler.

I have a Kenmore direct drive washer of the same vintage and the motor coupler broke on mine last year. After watching a few repair videos, I replaced the motor coupler myself and it's still washing clothes! The dual-action agitator is the best agitator for top loaders and the SQ doesn't have one.
Tc5 is the only machine on the market that offers old school agitation, rock solid suspension and durability!

That's not true. The Maytag MVWP575GW gets pretty high marks, too. And it works in an old school fashion
I have the new speed queen TC5 I love it wouldn’t have anything else all of these other washers at big box stores are junk.
I have the TR 7 sorry I don’t have it anymore I had to downsize but never had a problem with it washed beautifully, very quiet and just about any wash combination you can imagine.
Great video but I'm going with the TC5 washer. More cycles and features doesn't always mean it's better. The TC5 is a straightforward washer and it gives us TC5 fans that old-school vibe and washing ability. Most of us washer fans like a washer that can actually "wash" the clothes and get them "clean" I love the agitator because the aggressive motion of it reminds us of the surgilator agitator where the clothes are actually getting washed. I've watched many washer videos of the TR series washers and the performance is okay but I prefer to TC5 (plus it's my favorite washer and it's adorable).

TC5 all the way, if you want a truly classic, reliable, rock solid old build. I mean, consumer reports also said vinegar could harm the seals in a washer, and to “just use fabric softener”….. This is literally scientifically impossible, at the amount of acetic acid to water dilution. Absolutely impossible. Furthermore, fabric softener is horrible for washing machines.
The Amana NRW4516FW is also a good buy. It still uses a porcelain tub and a true dual action agitator. The Amana and the Maytag commercial would be closest to the Speed Queen.

What are the outer tubs made of?
Hi. From everything that I've been researching on Commercial Washers. Do NOT buy the Speed Queen TR models. They do NOT clean and leave soap residue. So choices are Speed Queen TC (classic) models and Maytag for top loaders. I've NOT been able to find any info on Heubsch top loaders. About the commercial Maytag, I'm wondering if there are any mechanics/repair techs/etc out here and what their opinion is. When the washer fills, the motor turns on & off to rotate the drum so all the clothes get wet when filling. In a commercial setting, a couple of loads a day, everyday, won't this cause the motor or the start switch to wear out faster? For instance if you turn a light switch on and off continuously, the switch will break. I mean if you're only doing 2 loads, once or twice a week - okay. But, these are commercial washers that are meant to do numerous loads daily. Opinions? FYI, I was leaning towards the Maytag until I saw this feature. Now I'm leaning towards the Speed Queen TC.
Will this was a Cailforna King bedding set?
Have a Samsung that doesn't clean but the wash cycle is almost two hours and the clothes aren't much cleaner than when they went in. I've had it for about 7 years and hate it. I m waiting patiently (not really) for my TR5000 to be delivered/installed in about two more weeks. I never thought I'd be so excited about getting a clothes washer.
Speed queen has been making commercial machines along time.. built out of real steel.. they built machines for the laundry mats.. speed queen been doing it for a hundred years or more if it works why change it.. toughest machine out there and it is made in America 🇺🇸
The TC5003 actually washes better and is less expensive. 🤔

Depends on what you are washing... the TC5 washes differently. It's a more aggressive wash akin to the older models that were criticized for being too hard on delicate fabrics.

Yeah there may be others ith more bells and whistles but the others are also behemoth monsters! I have a small utility room (I don't live in a mansion). 28 Depth, 26.75" width and 42" fits perfect and I am not looking for a piece of eye candy for my washer or dryer!!

Eye candy? How about something reliable...BTW, I like the TC series better
The TR7 may be well-built and come with great warranty. However, if it doesn’t wash and rinse clothes clean, it isn’t fit for purpose. There is nothing new about the wash system of the TR7. There have been iterations of it in the past, by other manufacturers, and none have persisted. Perhaps SQ should have re-designed the wash tub and agitator to compliment the TR7 rotating tub design and to create greater turbulence, turnover and movement to get clothes clean. I’ve been washing with Speed Queen for 40 years and I find their traditional agitator washers to be excellent cleaners. As for wear on clothes, I can safely say that it has never been a problem for me. Delicates get washed on the delicate cycle with plenty of water for clothes to move around in. Pick the correct cycle for the right clothes and don’t overload, then there is no excessive wear or damage, simple.

SQ should put a dual-action agitator in their TR7 washer to roll the clothes over. THEN it would be a great washer. The TR7 just swishes the clothes around and they stay pretty much in the same place in the basket where they started.
Too small. Why can't they make one with a larger tub?

You couldn't be more WRONG. I have a TR5 it's been GREAT.
Not happy at all . Doesn’t clean clothes. Has a mildew issue in the tub that the cylinder sits in. I waited 6 months for delivery and after 3 months the control board went bad. Had that fixed under warranty, 4 months after that the control board went bad again. I can’t see how this machine get good ratings. The mold or mildew scum is like mud all over my clothes. I’m looking to replace it after a year and a half. Completely disappointed

I will never purchase speed Queen again. My washer walks, per the level, it shows to be balanced, has scared my floors. There is no rhyme or reason, it does it on different types of loads.
The Speed Queen is trash. If you want your clothes feebly pushed in a circle instead of actually agitated, then spend $1200 on this garbage. Inaction does not clean fabrics.

The inner drum and agitator are locked together. If SQ would put in a true dual-action agitator, the TR7 would actually work quite well. The corkscrew upper half would roll the clothes over and that is what gets clothes clean. Now that I think about it, SQ should make the entire agitator as a giant corkscrew and eliminate the vanes on the bottom. There would have to be dogs (cams) in the corkscrew agitator to make it turn one way to roll the clothes in one direction. As the drum turns one way the corkscrew agitator would roll the clothes and not beat them up with the vanes. I'll bet if SQ does that, they'll find that it works a lot better and should offer it as a retrofit kit for older TR washers.
