Thanks for watching and very glad to be of service!
Love the background music
I literally have over 50 necrons to paint, easily, that I bought at the start of my journey and tbh, painting them to the heavy metal style does Not Spark Joy, so this might be something I cop to just get it done, thanks!

Thanks bro!!
The way you do your blades is pretty unique compared to typical glazing used in other Necron painting guides, I love it.

I figured with it being necrons it’s hard to break new ground but it’s always fun experimenting and seeing where I end up! Thanks for watching!
oh I like the idea of murder buckets with energy blades. I've got some on order was just gonna paint them as metal blades but might give them some energy colours now too.

I would have done them just regular but I figured an energy color would help tie them all together! Good luck!!
very nice!

Thanks homie!
Hey am I right in thinking the process for blades is Dry brush white Layer greens Edge highlight blade white Then layer entire blade with yellow? Or do you just only cover the white sections in yellow while not getting any yellow on top of the green? These look fantastic and I want to try this tomorrow. Been struggling to find a scheme but this is it.

You got it right in the first part, after the yellow I did go back and do dots of white for final pops of light but you can definitely play around with from that base point!! Good luck hope it turns out well!!
Really like the color scheme, would have like to see how you did the blades better since they were the best part.

Well I’m glad you like it!! The basic premise for the blade was to vaguely block in a thinned down version of that fluorescent color (doesn’t have to be even, we use that thinness to our advantage) , over a dry-brushing of white on them. After green sets, make drag marks across the blade with white (somewhere for the yellow or fluorescent yellow) and then a finally edge highlight of white! If you got anymore questions feel free to ask!!
Thx for the tutorial, I think is perfect for a rookie like me

I will add it too the list!! Thanks for watching!!
Did you drybrush the white/green/yellow? Love the dark and evil look, going to do this on my OPR robot legion models

Right on!! And basically I did drybrush white, glaze(ish) layer green, dry brush and light edges with white, glaze yellow, then fine point whites and any corrections. I recommend soft osl on either the legs, or ground it really helps sell the effect and it doesn’t really take much effort! Good luck and thank you for watching!!
Love it! But how to paint like necron warrior weapon? What color should I use?
@DudeMinis

I would do the same green to yellow transition but just focus on the orbs of the gauss weapon! Maybe green base, white spec for yellow glaze, choice of yellow, hint of white. Green wash to tie it all together. Thanks for watching!
Did you use a varnish after this? if so, did it alter the paint scheme much?
@DudeMinis

Nah I don’t typically varnish metallics, gloss over sells shine and matte defeats the purpose of using true metallics. Only time I do for metallics is if I’m using an oil or enamel coat for recessed areas but then I will usually build my shine back up gradually or through weathering!
how would you do the guns or a barge?

It depends how dark you want the actual weapon to be and bright you want the glow but I was would say base in a green, dry brush a white add your variation of fluorescent paint, punch up with white or yellow and call it a day!
Why not just spray it with leadbelcher primer?

I start with a black and do the dry brush to give a gradient so as to skip the wash and re-highlight steps
Very good job. But for my opinion, the yellow is to much, and doesn't fit to the green. But at all, the paint job looks like the Necron look, from the Artworks of third edition Codex, and I really love that🥰

Thank you! And I’m not totally sure I like it or not either, the yellow was more for those who do use yellow in their schemes and maybe an alternative to the difficulties others have with yellows. 🤷🏻♂️ most of my videos are kind of just recorded experiments. I don’t always know how it’ll come out, but I’m still gonna send it!! Haha
