Probably has some benefit to flavor/freshness like the muscles stay more tender because of the body not tensing up or some other shit like that

Do you not kill it first because the legs can hold you making you vulnerable to the chelae? I work on farms and I have more tolerance for practicality then most, but even I find it a little jarring you don't kill them first.

Poor crabs

though I love eating crabs, but cutting its legs while still alive was just so cruel, it hurts me seeing him cutting the crab legs one by one. Poor thing, I can't watch anymore.

Love crab...COOKED....with butter on the side.

Very cruel...

it was literally seconds between dismembering a living creature and then killing it. Why not just swap the order? there is ABSOLUTELY no reason

Why, why, why do you treat living creatures in this way. I get that they become food for humans but to overlook the suffering of any living creature is an indicator of lack of compassion. Very disturbing to see. Nothing less than torture. Please explain your actions to the rest of us. Why could they not have been dispatched in a less cruel manor?

@@maryannzakshevsky5181I get your point and agree, however I know that they do certain things there like this along with other disturbing methods as part of a cultural thing I’m pretty sure. I saw one video where they basically removed the back half of the body made it look fancy and pretty and then place the front half perched up while still alive so basically the idea was the creature would watch you eat it’s own body. Crazy crazy stuff they do over there

Using the crab "brown" stuff to flavor the rice - That's absolute GENIUS ! Every true crab lover will tell you that the brown stuff is the tastiest part of the crab.. In my region of the world (France, Europe) I basically only get "Edible crab" or "Brown crab" (Cancer pagurus) which is cooked whole (boiled or steamed) and then usually hand picked when dining. Some people will discard the brown/yellow matter (some find it gross or disgusting) while others will start with it as it is the most accessible and for some the most delicate part. Mixing it with the rice is a brilliant idea !

ну вообще очень мерзко и неприятно это всё. Я не веган, люблю мясо и свинину и говядину и раков с крабами, но блин, не могу смотреть как их так убивают. По другому никак нельзя чтоли? Согласен с теми, кому тоже пртивно на это смотреть. Хотя эти крабы совершенно не смотрят на смерть как мы, они даже не знают что умирают, но нервные окончания и рецепторы у них есть и они тоже мучаются, просто не могут об этом сообщить как мы

Вся японская кулинария вызывает отвращения: для них вершина кулинарии - приготовить рыбу таким образом, чтобы она оставалась жива на момент подачи. Перебить позвоночник и выпотрошить вместо того, чтобы отрубить голову полностью сразу - обычное дело.
