To clear up the “zombie” confusion, Skiff made a control shot but hit the already downed PMC in the head, splattering his brain matter on the scavenger. That’s why he survived, was only wounded in the shoulder. Cheers.

Guys, he didn't throw his rifle away. It was shot out of his hands. When you look closely you can see two impacts hitting his rifle. the bullet impacts made the rifle fly out of his hands.

His gun clearly took two rounds and they ripped it out of his hands.

This is literally like the fourth "reaction to Escape from Tarkov Raid" that i watch where the viewers says that they don't understand what's being said. Owners of the channel should know that there are subtitles and if not, that was the first thing that i checked when i first discovered this series myself.

It’s funny cause the whole movies on KZread, and it automatically has subtitles. You don’t need to put CC on.

Fun fact, most if not all the bullet hits are actually real. They would film the bullet hits as separate shots and edit it in to look like it's happening as the characters are in the scene.

...No they're not? The car glass breaking are steel balls fired from short tubes (pointing up, which is why the puff of smoke is also pointing up), the bullet holes are made digitally, and the sparks are made with special powder paintballs shot by sfx guys off camera. The guns they're using are real blank firing rifles though, if that's what you mean?

Patrick dont forget this are not russian military forces, these are russian pmc's

They literally have an English version with subtitles for these episodes. Also use the 18+. Cheers

Battlestate Games, the company that made the game, made the movie. For your information, very well made subtitles are offered on the KZread upload, but depending on how this is filmed I’m not sure if those can be well utilized. The Raid series gets better each episode, so I hope you guys watch more of them!

I think the rifles are so suped up cause a) they’re pmc’s so they get paid enough to gear them up and b) one of tarkovs key features is weapon modding

The note about using a car as cover, the car is length wise meaning the engine block is between him and the enemy an engine block will stop bullets. It’s the only part of the car with dense enough metal.

Yup, subtitles are there. Make sure to tell your presentation guy (or whoever is handling the videos) to enable them in the lower right corner of the video, next time. :)

Honestly no other game gives me the same rush and fear as Tarkov. Glad their series has a similar tone. Reminds me of Halo’s old mini series, yet these guys are a lower budget studio. Very dope

Which are not available when you download the video. The CC is only available when you're on YT. So yeah.

great episode. you guys are awesome.

There's also no zombies. The guy was a scavenger/looter who got downed and they messed up the "control shot (as the russians call it) by hitting the corpse next to him, instead of their intended target.

I knew Jason would love this series (wich btw there are 4 episodes so far we are waiting on a fifth) yes Battlestate (the devs behind the game are the ones also doing this) and Patrick if you ever read this... that guy was not a zombie, when the BEAR mercs were confirming the kill they hitted the dead dude by mistake, and yes there is subtitles, via youtube.

I would suggest you guys rewatch some scenes in the future as the action can move on pretty quickly, so it is easy to miss out on dialogue and other detail!

No. He threw it away because the gun itself got shot earlier. As he throws it, he says "my gun is fucked"

the faction fighting is both PMC so that's why their guns is not a standard protocol or something..

1. You can turn subtitles on... works like any other movie/game I’m sure you guys have encountered. 2. The gun was shot outta his hands. You could see and hear the impact.

To be fair, that rocket moved faster than the M72A5 training round I remember, and there's a limit to what you can shoot at people to make special effects. Also, the guy through his gun away because it got shot. Realistic? I don't know. But he says so explicitly when he jumps in to his buddy.

It goes back to the saying In Tarkov they are not dead until you bag and tagged the body. You have three groups working for control over Tarkov Bears(Russian PMC) USEC(Americain PMC) and Scavengers. Homie that was "zombie" was a Scav that could also be tied into one of the two-player types that you will find in Tarkov (RATS, Chads). Rat's scrounge the maps looking for easy loot or opportunities while a CHAD will go in guns blazing often charging towards the sound of a gunfight hoping to catch a third party fight when the winner of the initial fight is looting or healing. There is entire lore built around the Game that has been in the work for years that explains what happened with the Terra Research Group that was working on something(TBD) at a research facility in the city of Tarkov. Glad to see that you gents are finally getting to the raid series of Tarkov Ohana and All that Gang shit

I think in maybe 1 video i've seen where people are watching this so far that they notice that the rifle got shot out of his hands and that he didn't just drop it.

there ARE subtitles, guys... and one of the guys DIDN'T throw his gun away. it was kicked out of his hands with two hit. check the sparks at the moment

So in the game, both groups down fighting in this video are PMC so they aren’t trying to depict actual military forces. Also all the attachments are mostly just to show off all the customization that can be done in the game.

To explain tge zombie. Pretty sure the scav in the beginning was shot in the shoulder and the dude tried to confirm his kill, but hit the dead guy and thought it was the scav. So the scav wasnt dead and "recovered" enough to limp away.

Btw, the guns are so kitted out because the main characters in Escape From Tarkov and it's Raid series are PMCs

there is a closed captions button on all youtube videos, they have people who all they do is watch videos and translate captions to their language for people to watch, its a small "cc" button in the bottom left of any video you watch.

Mission background for the episode, im pretty sure that they are a second group coming in to find a first squad that got sent in looking for some objective/intel and went dark. But upon entering the area they got ambushed and retreated to that warehouse.

This was INTENSE! May have PTSD now just from watching this action. 😳😁

I'll try to explain a couple things to you guys before you go into episode 2. Raid happens before tarkov game storyline. The russian Bears which are basically special corps under cover because of politics are sent into tarkov to investigate what is going on there. Usec are us contractors that operate with terragroup which is a big pharmaceutical industry operating there. The usec massacre terragroup scientists and go for their mission based on selling top secret stuff by black market, but they never manage ro accomplish that. After this an emp will go off on tarkov region and both usec and bears will lose comms with their hq. After that is all about survival and it doesn't matter anymore if you are bear or usec. Everyone just wants to survive. The raiders you meet in the game and some of the maps bosses are former bears, usec, local army or criminals that obtained military grade equipment that joined in groups to survive and take control of an area. scavs are locals with nothing to lose, because this war kinda situation took everything from them. Hope this will help. Nice vids btw

Just talking a little bit about the lore which is behind EFT, raid, books, comics and another game. And also USECs are private military yes. BEARS are not. They are operating LIKE a private military company, but they truly are members of the russian army. Russia can't operate there officially, so they create BEARS to cover up their intervention in Tarkov area. Also, I'm just giving them datas to give them knowledge, which can give them a better comprehension of the scenario, their content is based on the true life experience they bring inside their videos, if you want to look at raid for the story you can watch that, if you want to see what they have to say about it, you watch their series. Just my personal point of view.

When the originally premiered it on Twitch it had subtitles that they did. You can turn on CC on KZread though. Also the guy who made the run, it’s hard to see but he’s supposed to have had his weapon shot once maybe twice.

The production quality on this vid was really good it reminded me of a super old Russian movie called newsmakers I'd definitely recommend checking it out the gun fights are pretty cool

The guy you see at 2:09 with the bare hat and beard is Nikita the lead dev and owner. All there vids are contain the development team :)
