HELLO LOVELY VIEWERS! Important Note: If you have questions about this video, you can post it here for the community to answer. But if you want to ask me, please get in touch via Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or my website (all links are in the description above). If you leave questions in the comments I may not see them due to the large volume of comments I receive across the hundreds of videos on this channel. Thank you for watching!
please do a fruit tour in Thailand with all the amazing fruits that we don't have here in the U.S. I love all the tropical fruit there.
I'm sure this has been requested many times before, but I would love to see a separate channel by you teaching Thai!
I loved this video! I love sticky rice anything! Do you think you'll make a video on soup desserts or maybe recreating that black bean coconut dessert? That looked sooooo delicious and it blew my mind!
This was awesome and your descriptions while tasting were helpful.
I like looking at all the background people. They are all looking like "What's going on. Who is that? Why is she talking like that?" kind of...and it's cute haha. I'd feel so weird just talking in public like that.
Kanom Krok (ขนมครก) and Kanom Buang (ขนมเบื้อง) are my favvvvv :)

delicious!!!! all those sweets look soooo good. thank you for sharing with us.
Thank you very much for sharing these thai deserts. I was in Thailand this summer ( I came home only one week ago and I miss it so much) and I wanted to try every food and the deserts were very mysterious for me! Now I want to try thai food! Delicious! Your channel will be very useful for me!
Best youtube channel ever ❤️❤️❤️❤️ love you Pailin
Such amazing fun to be able to see this! Thank you
we have the pulled sugar in india!! its called sonpapdi and its usually made to look like cubes
Coolest Thai dessert I've seen (I haven't seen so many) was some kind of thin crepe which the chef slung to stretch it and then fried. It was filled with super sweet banana and topped with condensed milk and caramel marbles. Sooo good!!
That sugar burrito!!! We did have the same dish. But plain wrapper without sesame. We also put a lot of fresh coconut for crunchiness and some sprinkle of sesame. And that wrapper, I have to tell you, make the perfect springroll wrapper. Much lighter then the 'egg wrapping' I've seen in Japanese or Chinese cuisine. (By 'we' I meant Vietnamese, I just so excited how Thai and Vietnamese have so many things in common)
ข้าวต้มมัด and สาคูถั่วดำ are awesome! Actually they all are awesome
I am drooling watching those dessert even though I never have it. Anything with coconut milk is always so good to me.
I understand why you chose those desserts, especially the roti sai mai, it's so tasty! Steamed bread with pandan sangkhaya is also one of my favorites, I remember going to Mont Nomsod (in Chiang Mai and Bangkok) to get this deliciousness :)
growing up i had a hard time accepting beans in savoury dishes too, i was wired to think of it as something 'sweet'! i love the green kanom with coconut that you ate the most - i really think it's delicious
In India the pulled stringy sugar is called SON PAPDI. We eat it on its own. It's my favourite dessert 🍨.
love to try thai desserts
can you make a video on the sticky rice with coconut custard? I always wanted to know how to make that after my trip to Thailand! It was so so good.
New to Thai food. It is very interesting to learn about all these desserts. You make it so entertaining. Thanks.
My mom always makes the grilled sticky rice w/ banana but instead she puts the sliced banana on top of the rice. I love it
Great video again. YES, I remember just how refreshing a cold dessert soup was under the Thailand sun. I love pandan anything. Now you can buy 3 Roti Sai Mai whenever you want without the spin of the wheel ☺
missing those desserts so much
The best is Mango and Sticky Rice pudding. The one with the purple/blue colouring in the rice. I learned how to make in Chiang Mai. Yummy
Great video! My fav Thai dessert is a green wormy looking thing & it swims in a delicious sweet sauce!

I love how you talk in English, you really inspire me a lot 👍 keep sharing Thai coking recipes.
wow! im looking for a good recipe of Spring Roll and saw your blogs about the different kinds of desserts in Thailand. Its super interesting I want to try those... now Im planning to go to the Thai Store once they open and pay attention to their dessert which I usually don’t 🙃 and find all those food that you showed us..
Yummy!!! Thank you for showing us these delicious desserts!
This was fun to watch.
We have something very similar to your sugar "burrito" in Vietnam as well. Instead of the pulled sugar threads, we have these sugar wafers; people tend to also add shredded coconut and toasted black sesame seeds as well before rolling the whole thing up. It's a shame I no longer see this being sold anymore.
My Goodness , you are so hilarious and cheerful as much as talented , what a blast to watch your videos, I am your fan !
omg!!!! love all of them!!!
Omg, I've been in New Zealand for 3 years and I miss Thai snacks/sweets so much. So jealous!
ahh roti sai mai is also my all time favourite. childhood memories. 🙌👍✌👌instantly liked.
I'm Mexican, and we can not even imagine "sweet beans" Most are not familiarized with Asian culture so sweet beans are not even something we think possible haha, that is how passionate we are about savory beans.

I love coconut milk ice cream and sticky rice. I would love to try all of those though. I love seeing the markets. I wish Texas had them.
ข้าวเหนียวหน้าปลาแห้ง is my all-time favorite ❤️

I love it! I have a huuuuge sweet tooth and can't wait to hunt around for some similar things :)
น่ากินมากเลยยยยยยย
My favorite Thai dessert is Kao-tom Naam-Woon (ข้าวต้มน้ำวุ้น). Banana-leaf-wrapped sticky rice triangles in pandan/jasmine-flavored syrup with some shredded jackfruits on top - served with crushed ice. :P
I really enjoy your video
Roti is my favorite dessert! I feel like not enough people in the western world know about it!
waoo Pailin.. you make me wanna go to Bangkok Market.. I can really feel the taste here in indonesia.. hope that i can return back again since 2000 .. and try all the dessert there!! thanks pailin for your video.. :)
You definitely should make the bean dessert. It looks delicious.
HaHa my mom collects those bags also and hangs them on the cabinet drawers too :) Great video
Why am I addicted to your videos? 🥰
I have ALWAYS been interested in Thong Yod ever since I was a kid from a thai boran I watched back in the days . I really want you to make a video of how to make it! I really want to try making it and will try it one day when I go to Thailand. Please do make this video Pailin! Thank you! ^-^
In Indonesia, we called that shredded sugar thing as "rambut nenek", which it means Grandma's Hair. We usually find the seller near the elementary school.
Thank you for sharing your culture 😊😊😊
I want to go get a roti tomorrow! My absolute favorite sweet! There's a roti stand two minutes from my apartment! (I'm on the east side of Chiang Mai.)
How many good memories ♥️ I will take my child one day to Amazing Thailand
Interesting and informative video. By the way my favourite deserts are khanom luk chup (not sure if i am spelling this right). Also It has to be this thai desert pots. They have mango, lychee. And some other fruits I love them. Don't know the name though.
I love the market. They have everything under the sky.
Just found your channel......busy working through your videos........loving them so far!!! Joan

Amazing video! I love khanom buang! When I'm in Thailand in March I will live off this stuff :) I'd really love you to do a video how to make these. I have a recipe from David Thompson but it calls for lime paste, which I can't get over here in Germany :(
ขนมเปี๊ยะ ขนมหม้อแกง ขนมชั้น ลอดช่อง สาคูแคนตาลูป โรตีนมข้น ขนมปังสังขยา ขนมครก are just a few of my favorite Thai desserts. Unfortunately, anything that is custard-like (e.g. ขนมหม้อแกง & สังขยา) often use duck eggs or eggs at all from my understanding, which is not vegan friendly. Trying to find ways to make a them vegan/เจ, but have yet to find a good recipe to share these delights with my vegan friends!
I hope you make a video recipe of one of those desserts. Really interesting! 😊
Sawasdee khab Khun Pailin. I love all the desserts you viewed, and I was just introduced to Roti Sai Mai having visited Ayutthana this past weekend to visit many Wats. The other dessert I having fallen in love with is a tapioca pearl mixture served in pandan boasts with a coconut cream topping. I have seen it call tagoh, sago, or taco. I would really love to see more about that. Thank you for all that you do for Thai cuisine.
Can you please do a video on the pineapple cookies? I had them in Cambodia and I can't find a recipe anywhere 😞 love your channel! ❤️
Khanom Piak Poon used to be in black color when I was growing up and usually comes topped with shredded coconut . It's going to be thing in the past. Fewer people make this khanom. Hard to find. Enjoy your show. Sumontha
making me craving for sweet coconutty things at 12pm :) oh my :'( I'm from Vietnam, where our food have a similarity to Thai's, and also has quite lots of Thai's food too. But now I'm in Australia, recently I've been missing the food, and now seeing this makes me want them MOREEEEEEEEEE :'(
I hope you drank a lot of water after all those sweets. Great video...you activated my sweet tooth here in Brooklyn NY. Will try making the sticky rice with banana to go with dinner tonight-----peace and love lsj
you described the roti exactly as i remembered, everyone should try. what about khanom krok, fermented rice eg. please share with your subs

Hey! could you please make a video on how to make Kanom krok? A big fan though!
Omg, i am drooling and i wanna eat that grilled banana with sticky rice right now!!!
I'm always confused when you try food bc you look like you wouldn't like it 😂💕
Be encouraged. Yes, your better days are ahead of you.
We had shared the childhood experience of Lottery Roti Sai Mai.
hi pailin, it’s always tempting to see your videos. can you pls mention the name of the market you went for these desserts ? thanks a lot
Omg. That's is true about beans. I never thought of it
Can you do recipes on some of dessert? A lot of them are my childhood favorite. I miss it so much, but it is hard to find in the US especially where I live.
LOVE ALL OF YOUR VIDEO, PLS KEEP GOING FOR US TO FOLLOW
I am a huge fan of salapao (meat and sweet versions). I used to love kanom krok but now the love has gone lol. And I still love those sesame balls... So good! Actually I find most of Thai desserts too sweet. But I like morning food as pa thon ko and other. Especially with sankaya... Damn! I have to wake up tomorrow early to grab some of these! ;) btw nice chanel you got! Subscribed! Cheers from Phuket!
Oh my gosh! You are just like me at the Asian market. I go for all the dessert foods and buy it all up. I love Asian desserts more than western style desserts. Mostly because a lot contain jelly like substance, fruit and of course, coconut. Yummo!

Pai, swasdee ka! My mom is from Thailand and she moved back 15 years ago... because it’s so cheap to eat from nearby vendors she doesn’t cook as much as she used to, so she’s forgotten a lot. I NEED to know how to make more Thai desserts lol!! Pleeeease can you do a section just for desserts?! Kap koon mak na ka!
I love roti sai mai. THE BEST Thai dessert. ever
