I shot a few at Pineview. they are great eating. really underrated.

More power to ya if you like them. They are plentiful and easy to get. I've never been able to get them to taste decent though. So I'll stick to eating walleye for now 👌

you guys should have a contest for a certain amount of time lets say 30 or 60min who can butcher the most carp. just stay away from each other cause in this low visibility you might end up shooting each other.

Hey ya don't wanna clean 'em up too much- no more fish to shoot! I'm a spearo in MN- absolute blast here in the summer- hardly anyone does it in these parts and I have plenty of fish all to myself- best place is under docks.

That is true. But I doubt we could ever run out of carp haha. Also the more you kill the better the viz gets and the more game fish there are. (dont know about MN but we are aloud to shoot game fish in a few select waters here in UT)

FreshWaterFishSlayers Just watched your video again- man, you have a lot of action on some huge carp! I use a two-band JBL Sawed-Off Magnum and still lose some big ones- the record in our group is a 38-incher. The big ones take us for a nice ride sometimes! We just started shooting video of some of our action- look up "Search for Walleyes and Carp Lake Minnetonka Aug 9 2014 Ends with School Big Eyes!"- we can't shoot gamefish in MN. Looking forward to more vids from you this summer (dig your logo too!)

500stick thanks dude, even being able to take game fish here in utah I still love shafting carp. the big ones definitely pull you through the water. we should get some more good footage this year, we are competing in freshwater nationals too so hopefully the cameras and viz will cooperate

yeah i know alot of people that dont like the carp especially in Utah lake the dwr themselves i saw they go and drag nets just to get rid of hundreds of carp they kinda dominate over the species everyone else likes to catch so yeah... idk

If they got all the carp out of utah lake it would be clear again. Carp can dominate a whole lake and eating all the vegetation and stirring up dirt they destroy visibility. But they sure are fun to shoot!
