Loved it man! Great work taking those Carp out of that Lake. Would like to do that sometime.
Sorry if this bothers you but, why slay them if you're not going to eat or sell them?

Hack ._. Carp are an invasive species here. They destroy the ecosystem and are very damaging to the lake and other fish populations

MR-FLIP it's called a slip tip. Big advantage to keep fish from tearing off with a polespear
do you eat them or its just pest control ?
Awesome Video. You guys have any tips for beginners - Speargun or Spear Pole? Thanx: Shawn

DocMcDooDoo we have tried eating them a few times but never got them to taste much better than mud. We keep a few for fertilizer and dog food but most we do not keep.

FreshWaterFishSlayers In germany carp is usually eaten during the colder months, november until april, when there is less algue in the lakes, which makes the carp meat taste muddy when they eat it. A way to get rid off the muddy taste would be to catch them alive and hold them in clear water for ten days or longer without feeding them before they get butchered. After that, they actually taste pretty good.
what the carp??????? you or the gun
Really great video. I only fish for carp and never release one.
very invasive fish, very harmful to the water ecosystem

KelpNougatCrunch The Asian carp are the harmful ones, these common carp don't do anything negative to lakes.

DocMcDooDoo not true. Common carp are very damaging to lakes they are not native too. They root up all the vegetation destroying habitat and water clarity. They also eat the eggs and fry of other fish. Many lakes have had to be poisoned after carp are introduced because they destroy the habitat to the point where nothing else can survive.

FreshWaterFishSlayers Is there any sort of predators in that body of water? If not then I can see the problem. A lake by my house has tons of predators and common carp, water is crystal clear.

DocMcDooDoo the problem with carp is they can grow up to 12" the first year quickly outgrowing predators. They do less damage in lakes with rocky bottoms (they can't stir the mud up as much) and large lakes with lots of species but still have a negative effect on game fish populations
What lake is that?
