The producers of this television series are aware of the author's terrible and tragic actions which occurred when she was fifteen years old, having just arrived in New Zealand after a bout of tuberculosis forced her to live in other countries. She was subsequently convicted and served five years of detention, and she has acknowledged and apologized for what happened. . .

@@adiscussionwithnationalaut471 5 years for brutally beating a woman to death for no reason. TB had NOTHING to do with her actions.

@@MCSTF25661 Out of pure decency, I couldn't read her books. Wasn't as if she shot someone, wasn't as if she was a 10 yo. Hands on smashing a woman to death. And it was here idea. Something wrong with her fans that they can desensitize themselves that way. They have no right now to criticize murder if they absolve her.
