The new worlds mod does more then just add new factions, it also adds new units to existing factions.

The American education system: England - develops language America - adopts English language America - English be saying it wrong
@Elephantstonica

There may be *some* truth to that as illustrated below, and of course much of the British English we know today is the way it is because of its longtime ubiquity feeding back into the isles. Same as most anywhere English is spoken. It still develops. Naw English that’s wrong though. That’d be subjective fallacy. www.bbc.com/culture/article/20180207-how-americans-preserved-british-english www.openculture.com/2019/12/the-americans-who-still-speak-with-regional-british-english-accents.html www.britannica.com/story/what-did-shakespeare-sound-like

@@photosyntheticzee9915 That’s a nonsense. The Roundheads would have had the same accents depending on where they were from, and how they were educated. You don’t obtain a different accent purely because of one’s political beliefs. Besides a ‘southern accent’, is a misnomer. Accents across the whole United Kingdom differ from region to region, town to town, even borough to borough. Including in the South.

Their is a theory that the myth of Amazonians comes from a steppe tribe from Anatolia that used woman in battle, since that was unheard at the time the women really stuck and the myth grew that it was all women. The Centaur myth is also believed to be started by the way steppe warriors could ride their horse as if they were one beast.

The Greek debated between themselves where these Amazonians lived. However in their era female warrior burials have been found plenty (relatively to total burials found) north side of the Black Sea regions lived by Scythian and Sarmatian peoples (Iranian languages speaking tribes).

@@landonpate7576 the Eye of the Sahara does not fit the description of where Atlantis was located related by Solon in which Plato writes about. actually rome was conquered by the etruskens for a fiew hundred years. But in 501 b.c.e. the last etrusken king of rome, tarquinius superbus was driven aut of rome, after he had abused the wife of a popular politician of the city.
Love your content Apollo, you're a beast and deserve nothing but praise🙌🏼👏
Sorry to break the news, but the Romans were Etruscans with Latin influences! Rome was a Etruscan city state but if you like to know if the Etruscans would have conquered the Mediterraeanen like the Romans did, I don't think so. They were a union of city states while the Romans were just a single state with a particulary strong army due to their manipular system!

Just like to say that your total war rome 2 content is really nice and keep me entertained a lot.
Modders are a HUGE reason why most of us play these games. CA needs to pay these people to work for them. I'll never pay full price for a TW game anymore.
You're talking about the Younger Dryas event, which is suspected to be a meteor impact on a north american glacier that sent massive amounts of water into the Atlantic ocean and caused massive flooding all along the west coast of Europe and Africa. Also brought a bunch of extra water into the Mediterranean. It's believed to have happened about 12k years ago.
This looks good!!!
it's been just 15 seconds and I love it already :D
Hey, Genesis made it to your channel. Have a nice weekend, Apollo!
and the roman/etruscan question, i think there was more to it that made the romans as they became, fear of their neighbours because of the gauls, and carthage etc. i think the etruscans would have continued much the same as they had always acted...
In regards to Atlantis. There was a Minoan (Bronze Age Crete) settlement on Akrotiri which collapsed into the sea after a volcanic eruption. It is believed that that is the inspiration for the later stories of Atlantis
Perfectly timed for lunch, nice
ha, in the case of us saying ma'am it depends on who we are speaking to. Ma'am is short for madam and is used as a term of respect to the queen for example. though its not commonly used outside of formal situations
The Etruscans were in control of Rome, that is why it formed a republic. After they removed their Etruscan Governor they vowed to have no king again. (Like the USA)
Rome honestly has to add more factions to the game. It would surely be fun.
for the algorithm! love you apollo
Etruscans are the coolest faction in the mod, and they might form a republic/state, but if they took Rome might go on and take the world, they would be more Greek friendly

Atlantis was mentioned in the writings of Plato back in the ancient times where the ancient Athenians went in war with Atlantis and won
The war of myth and reality
That was a nice slideshow.
I think in a 4v4 especially, holding that elavated island area is a great strategy. The defenders used enough troops to force the attackers to deal with. This keeps attacking troops from being able to concentrate and makes the use time and resources. Had the defenders not held that point the Persian army could've sent all their troops to assist the main assault in the mid game
This mode is awesome more please!😂

The “never forget your siege pants” got me. He can be cringe, lovable but cringe. But he said that and I looked up to the pantless warriors and I actually laughed out loud
If Apollo was my history teacher, i'd go to school every day.
Wouldn't suprise me if the trojans fell for that wooden horse again...
Ma'am isn't said like mum, it's like mahm but like the start of "ramen" and IT IS ALUMINIUM NOT ALUMINUM AABABAABBA
Hell yeah man
Yeah Etruscans look real nice! About the Amazons... I wouldn't have given them hoplites, at least not a phalanx, rather more cavalry units. With bows, pikes and long swords. Yeah Sarmatians and Scythians (after what I would fashion Amazons) used scale and ring mails, breast plates, leg guards and helmets.
I would love to see an overhaul just like new world, but adding some things from different points in history. For example a Viking faction, a Byzantine faction, and wessex, or other iconic kingdoms/militaries through history. I think as long as you didn't add anything like gunpowder units it would still all balance out fine. It would basically be picking your favorite kingdoms through history and duking it out with the others.

Apollo with a really convincing explanation about how British people pronounce Ma'am wrong and immediately destroying the 'proof' by remembering how ridiculous wrong the American pronunciation of 'aluminium' is.
If you should speak to the Queen, in the first instance you would use the address: Your Majesty. Subsequently, you say: Ma'am, which rhymes with Ham. Ma'am, rhymes with Harm, is used for eg. Service Personnel addressing senior Female officers (Army, Navy, Airforce, Police Service). Madam can be used generally when addressing older ladies, Miss for young ladies. Mum is used where you would say mom.
From what I read, Atlantis was inspired by one of the island civilizations in the Aegean (I think Crete or Minoan or something else) but the city itself was ultimately just made up for the story. Plato created it as a boomer thing since he though that Athens with its wealth and democracy was sliding into hedonism and all that jazz and that they should be more like Sparta. Atlantis is the story of a wealthy and powerful city being destroyed in a way that was supposed to draw parallels to at the time modern Athens. And then people took it seriously but completely blew it out of proportions kind of like El Dorado. There was likely an actual city, but it wasn't good/epic/mythical enough so they kept looking. Seriously, the conquistadors came across a city where the king was dusted with gold and bathed in a lake and people even dumped golden trinkets as offerings into it but that still wasn't enough gold for the conquistadors. The two other things you mentioned about the flood and pre-native American civilizations. The story that Noah's flood is based on is likely a lot more mundane and was based on a story of how some guy and his family was washed away in a non-asteroid related flooding of the Tigris or Euphrates and made their way back. Add some dramatization, some religious motives and generations of storytellers and it goes from "some dude gets lost at sea for a little" to "a flood destroyed the world and only one ship survived". The pre-native stuff sounds like British Isrealism or Mormonism, both of which are just wack ass takes on Isrealite lineage and exiled tribes mixed with a very hefty dose of racism. Alternatively, there are stories that one of Mansa Musa's descendants managed to sail from Africa to South America although again, grain of salt in that they'd ever manage to establish themselves there or just not get lost at sea.
