Wait until you watch and hear her at age 14 on a riverboat cruise ship giving an hour long performance highlighted with her amazing performance mostly in English of a 1920s cabaret song by the famous composer Irving Berlin called “ Puttin On The Ritz” . Not only does she kill it with her vocal electrifying expressions and dance moves but I will not spoil the SURPRISE that will knock you off your chair ( a 12 second teaser she gives the audience that the late great Fred Astaire would be smiling down on her from heaven). She also performed “ Besame Mucho “ & “ Feeling Good” aboard the ship. Also when she won her “you are super” contest she performed a song written by Lara Fabian titled “ Tomorrow Is A Lie” accompanied on the piano by the famous composer Igor. She sings it in English and the meaning of this song is so spiritual to me: “ only here and now... Tomorrow is a Lie “ ( all that exists is the next moment). And finally, I hope you someday react to her first Russian Voice appearance prior to “ You Are Super” where the chairs were traditionally turned backward where the judges could not see the performer. Diana gave an incredible masterful tour de force on Yodeling but when it was over not one judge Turned Their Chairs. In any other Voice kids contest around the world all 4 chairs would have turned within the first minute. But as soon as these Russian judges turned after it was finished , the audience gave Diana a 5 minute Standing Ovation ( even the judges clapped and gave her a standing ovation). It was later revealed that the contest was “ fixed” and the winner was already predetermined. Caused a corrupt scandal! And if you continue to watch the judges reaction ( in Russian) about near the end they ask Diana to perform another song and she KILLS IT ( a French song). And the woman judge felt so guilty and shameful that after Diana finished the French song , not only did she bury her face and cover it with her arms but also invited Diana to go on stage with her a few days later when the woman judge was giving a concert and Diana sang a song. Hi from France, great reaction ! Some informations about this song and its cover: Diana had great merit in singing in a language she never learned in school and she was only 14 years old when performed. The original performer is not Spanish either and it is possible that she too has an accent because she is of Judeo-Spanish (Ladino) culture. Diana also has an accent when she sings in French, this is normal because there are sounds from Latin languages which do not exist in Slavic languages and vice versa. She learned English at school but it is likely that it is not with natives so for the accent it is not the best. Diana has just "recruited" an English coach in order to be able to interact with her non-Russian fans on social networks. As Diana only actually speaks Russian and has to learn all the foreign songs phonetically then I think she does an outstanding job in English, French and Spanish. It certainly sounds convincing to me as someone who doesn't speak either French or Spanish, but I obviously bow to your better judgement on the Spanish. All I can really comment on is I find her English is remarkable for someone who's doing it phonetically, though she has said it's on her long list of things to do to learn English more fluently. I know she has a love for all things French, but maybe she'll pick up a bit of Spanish along the way too?

yes, in english she does a really good job, i havent heard her french yet. But i think she had trouble with the spanish on this song because this type of songs have a southern accent. and phonetically is very different than the common spanish , as they cur words in half sometimes and they dont pronounce some letters ... so im sure it was tough for her , but she did a good job anyway

@@JezPrada some times Diana mess up with Russians words too, because they are very old and far way from use, for example in song "River" she uses word "KOLYUSHISHSYI" (meaning: do not "tremble" or quite river, or do not disturbed ) So native Russian speaker do not understand those words without dictionary By the why like wise Italians learned from Russian's movie they're own words. Diana does not speak Spanish. She learned the song and understood the meaning. I think the atmosphere of the song and the emotion is the main thing. A 13-year-old girl was able to do it. She didn't just sing a song, she told a story. Amazing Diana!

The feeling !!!... this was great.... just as a though, Russian songs known as "Chanzon" are just of this type, full of sadness and hard felt words. I hear that a lot when I go to restaurants where they have life music in Russia. Also, my wife is Russian and when I teach her something in Spanish, she can pronounce it very well from the beginning. I think russian and Spanish share a lot of phonetics. A Russian person would be able to read Spanish with no problem if he/she knows the alphabet only. The only problems would be the "E" or the "o" as they have two different ways of pronouncing them in the russian language and they can get confused.The "e" could be "ye" or "yo" and "A" could be "a" or "o". When Diana sings "became mucho", she pronounces "la ultima vez" as "la ultima vyoz". Anyway. This song was really good. Love Diana. Thanks for sharing.

As I read in other comments to this performance the original song is not in the classic Spanish language but in Ladino dialect of Spanish spoken by the Sephardic Jews. The female songwriter of this song lives in Israel. Diana learnt the lyrics of this song by ear so it can be that her Ladino Spanish is much better than regular Spanish language (judging by her pretty good pronunciation of some of the words in classic Spanish as it is witnessed here by this vid's "reactionary"). 😮😊❤

And Diana learnt the lyrics by ear just listening to the recorded song. Being a Philologist of the Germanic languages with poor insight into Romanic language group, I can't tell anything else - but to repeat somebody's else comments. Sorry !

But unfortunately, each person has their own limitations, both in playback and listening. Ideality of 100% does not exist, otherwise the libretto would not be sold in the opera and no one would buy it. I don’t understand half of the words about what they sing in the opera, super famous vocalists, I just read about what they sing and I’m not deaf and not the only one with a libretto in the hall. This does not make the singing and technique of the recognized masters worse. It is not always possible to correctly and clearly sing the text to certain music.
