MMMMM YES,,, PLURILINGUAL AND VOCAL KING
One good thing about music is that you can do whatever you want with it; such as stretching, riffing, running, rolling the words (solo etc) however you want and D.O. did an excellent job playing with the words and having a good ear for music is a major plus. The dialect used is Caribbean Spanish, not Latin, South American nor from Spain (they use the th a lot) and Koreans do know how to roll with the tongue even if it's not part of their dialect. I've heard Japanese, Chinese, Jewish, Philippines, Middle East etc use the Spanish language better than its owner. It's not so hard, just a matter of understanding the difference in dialects.

thank you for this analysis! i don't speak spanish so i can't comment on his pronunciation but i am a singer, and to your point about it being hard to focus on musicality when you're singing in a language that isn't your own, imo he actually sang the spanish version BETTER than the korean version lol, especially that low part at the end, whew!!!!

Koreans can't pronounce the "R" sound (Spanish). Because there is no R sound (Spanish) in the Korean pronunciation. R sounds (Spanish) are difficult for Koreans.

In Spanish there are different types of "R" but D.O. did all REALLY right 🛐

Es perfecto hablando español , en su idioma no usan la r así que pronunciarla es muy difícil para ellos , es como 으 para nosotros que no existe en español así que aplaudo lo limpio que lo hizo e imagino cuanto tardo para prepararla , es algo tan hermoso en detalle y considerando que es con el fandom latino, cosa que otros artistas para no ser criticado por su fandom asiático no a realizado en un álbum y menos en un primer álbum solista, se arriesgo

Ahhhhh yo no me di cuenta del sOlo tuve que repetir la canción 3 veces cuando lo dijiste 🤣, admito que al inicio se le sentía un poco el acento pero cuando iba avanzando la canción lo escuchaba mucho más natural. La verdad es que me enamore de esa canción y lloré un par de veces nada más

The thing you noticed when he pronounces solamente and solo, he also does that in Korean tbh. 🤣 He always says O with a w.
As a foreigner, Spanish seems easy to speak since many words in our language was mixed and originated from Spanish for we were once colonized by Spain, so I can really relate how that "r" sound is not easy for most of foreigners.

Deja de romper con la pronunciación, lo hizo excelente que molestó. Y suena mucho mejor con el acento acento del castellano de latino América que el de España que a le agregaria una z y s a todo.
