Billions were paid by govts worldwide for various covid schemes. That money didn’t disappear. But it needs a haven. Property.

It's amazing and a little embarrassing that in 2024 Spain still has a corrupt property purchase issue. For years those trying to legitimately buy their dream are being prayed upon in broad daylight. What backhanders are being carried out to allow this to happen, especially with Spain's love of bureaucracy.

Australia banned smoking within five metres of all public buildings years ago, and banned smoking inside restaurants, pubs and their outside areas years before that. Beaches as well. It works a treat.

The last few years the process of residency has been a bureaucratic nightmare. One year I was en tramite so long the paper work expired and had to start over. It is easy to see how one can technically be illegal although having a work contract, etc.

Why don't non-smokers eat inside? They forced the smokers outside. Where next? In the winter when you non-smokers retreat into the warmth of dreadful indoors, the smokers are still outside, spending their money, as well. Cake and eat it comes to mind. Why not have smoking and non-smoking bars/terraces?

@@robddaniel I don't mind going outside to smoke. It would be nice to have an area with seating. I had no problems in Australia. Up in Cairns, there were tables 10/15 feet apart. One you could smoke but not eat on and one you could eat on but not smoke on. That seemed to work for this hugely popular restaurant.

Spain officially recognized the State of Israel as late as in 1986. I remember the news well. Even being a child it sounded weird to me. I don't know if there's any relationship at all, but the first country to recognize the United States of America was Morocco. Morocco is bothering Spain and other European countries with the help of Israel. Geopolitics consists of constantly annoying others for who knows the reasons why

Even Russian football teams and Russia competing as a country in sports is not allowed. At least they have the Golden Visas.

Maybe , if he doesn't like it he should go indoors, smoke free of course, or go somewhere else. After all, when indoor smoking was banned, terraces were made more agreeable for smokers with heating in the winter for example. Cheers Stu, keep up the good work. Al.

The government shouldn’t be involved in the the running of bars and restaurants, it should be the landlord decision, some landlords will want no smoking and some of them won’t be bothered either way, people of the uk have short memories, when the government stopped smoking look what happened it affected many companies connected to the industry, if landlords want it let them have it, if not leave them alone, which will sort things out rather than be forced, freedom and liberty for all keep government out of your business, that’s the whole point of having a business and been self employed, its customers that should define your business
