The best team ever seen on a pitch. Unstoppable, playing the most sophisticated and effective form of the sport. Trying to regain some of that former excellence now, they’re probably behind Italy (we’ll see tomorrow in the semis), but what a journey those 6 years were. Unrepeatable.

For me Spain 2008-12 is the greatest international football team ever. Brazil 1970 could be considered, but winning THREE international tournaments in a row is a remarkable feat that will probably never be repeated again. We have very good national teams now and in the past, and we will continue to in the future but for me I doubt any team before, now and after can topple this

U clearly didn't watch football in the 90s and early 2000s, basically all national teams had their peak there and after 2006 WC all of them were on a decline, except Spain, that's why they were so "dominant" (if u call 1-0 wins a domination, cause that's how they won 90% of their 2010 WC games) but if u put them next to a 90s Italy, France or Brazil, they wouldnt stand a chance

Creo que 2010 era el año de España y si la gente ha visto como ha jugado Holanda anteriormente a ese mundial, sabrán que jugaron así porque contra esa selección de España no iban a ganar. España tenía muchísimo nivel y hacían un juego prácticamente perfecto, Holanda intentó frenarles de cualquier manera. A mi si me gustaría que Holanda ganase algún mundial pero creo que eso no va a pasar nunca y si ganan jugando como la final de 2010, prefiero que se quedan sin mundial. un saludo

Was a huge mistake from the start Italy playing Chiellini on an injury. He was at fault for the first goal early, could barely run, sent Italy chasing the game and wasted a sub to take Chiellini off at 30 minutes back when there were only 3 substitutions... too bad because the Spain vs Italy game in the group stage 1-1 was one of the best games of that tournament.

It wasn't like that actually, it was mostly del Bosque's fault because he was obsessed with playing Diego Costa instead of Villa and Torres, I don't think we would've won at all that year, but we wouldn't have been destroyed like that with actual strikers.

@@marco-antoniotrujillo6944 here from New Zealand, we just failed and we're out...and the Socceroos are in, good luck for them. i am tryin' to figure out what's wrong with Spain in Europe, I mean, i've noticed much hate against Spain in Europe. This Tiki-Taka team, well, had it be German, Italian, French or Swedish and everybody would be writin' poems, but instead Europeans show how mean they are against Spain. In New Zealand and Australia Spain is like a country of our fancy along with Italy, but I noticed as Europeans wanted to keep Spain under the carpet. Other country in Europe in the same situation is Ireland, i guess Europeans, for such or such a reason, want to keep these countries under the carpet. Funny 'cause i travelled Europe years ago and my very fav countries were Ireland and Spain. I also read loads of rude comments about that Spanish girl who did 3rd in the Eurovision Song Contest, sayin' things i ain't goin' to repeat and other less offensive words like "her perfomance is dull, it is generic, it is naff or tacky". I mean, had that girl been Swedish, Danish or Italian and would have been a Godess, I mean...What's wrong, 'cause i can't understand Europeans (only Europeans) in this video about the final in which Spain overcome Italy by scorin' 4-0 and yet they say "oh, Italy played a 120 minutes match against germany, they arrived without resting, had Italy played with that line way back or ahead and..."...I mean, it is nonsensic, they know how hard is to win a final scorin' 1-0 and Spain won 4-0 and Europeans want to put that truth out of sight. I remember last year when Italy won the Euro beatin' both Spain and England on penalties and all Europeans came to comment "oh, god, what a team, they're goin' to rise the Cup in Qatar". ..sorry???...Hello???...they couldn't even beat North Macedonia at home to be in Qatar. so, Italy wins the Europe on penalties and Italy is wowwww...Instead, Spain wins the Euro by scorin' 4-0 and Europeans can just be sporty and 'umble. greetings from New Zealand, i'm supporting Spain. By the way, Australia can join The Eurovision Song Contest Every year, not New Zealand. Europe may hate us as well...greetings from Wellington

@@willymortimer5060 The hate to Spain comes from the times of the Spanish Empire; The British, French and Dutch have always wanted to talk trash about us. Other countries that unjustifiably hate Spain are Brazil and Chile, which at the football level have a giant ego. Curious, because the first has not won anything for many years, and Chile will always be a weak team at the international level, but one that believes it is a giant.
