Brazil conceded 7 against Germany and 3 against The Netherlands. Sadly, this was when they hosted the tournament. They hadn't conceded more than two in a World Cup match in three previous tournaments. In 2018, they conceded 2 only against Belgium. It's rare for hosts to perform in that manner.

Very hard to believe the Dutch have not won at least one more EURO. They have made it to the semis in 1976, 1988, 1992, 2000 and 2004 with a 1-4 record; and two of those lost on PKs. And then with the same number, Spain has a 4-1 record (with appearances in 1964, 1984, 2008, 2012 and 2020 and a 2-1 record in PK shootouts) in EURO semifinals with three championships. And there is France with a 3-2 record (appearances in 1960, 1984, 1996, 2000 and 2016 and 2 championships to their name.) That is football to you, little details making all the difference.

As a brazilian we didnt even watched this match, i asked all around the hotel i was in, no one knew the the result, this is actually the first time i see the goals. Its buffling, although best seen against Germany, how bad the defense was, its like they had lost any sense of organization or situational awareness. Which is specially strange with such great players. I really feel like this team was way to dependent on Neymar. Not only as a team, but moraly; and the director was considerably bad, there could have been so many better DTs to build up a great team with such players. Well, that was a World Cup to remember, as much as Tites Brazil amazing team is. We were really unlucky against Belgium in 2018 (and damn Courtois who was incredible that day). Hope we can get it now on 2022, such a great team we have now! And lets see about Argentina, they amazingly barely managed to take our last Copa America, in a really good match (although i felt Brazil lacked a bit that game). As long as its not against us, i hope they win! They have an outstanding team right now.

For me this is basicly the bigest achievement in dutch fooball history. this team was mixed with a couple of less talented players from feyenoord, ajax, and only 2 real worldclass players. It was a strange bunch, and it is remarkable how louis pulled this of. Seems you don't need a circus team to get far in the Worldcup, just players with the right attitude and the right weapons at the right moment. Way better performance, then dutch teams like in 98,2000,2010, we had very good players at that time.

Unpopular opinion but there was 100% enough contact for a pen on Oscar. Was more of a pen than Robben's, robben waited a solid second to 'fall' to the ground after the defender touched his shoulder

it's an unpopular opinion for a very good reason. The foul on Robben was not a penalty, but a clear foul and should have been red. 100% enough contact for a pen on Oscar? what a joke

Brazil 2014 defenses was absolutely shambolic from the group stage, meaning their only sources of winning is through attacking. In the latter stages, they were dominated by the German & Dutch. I recall correctly there was a video showing how relax the Dutch GK was in the third place game.

Depay made an appearance and scored a goal. De Vrij is also still there. He is a defender and scored against Spain. So Really, Wijnaldum, Blind, Depay and De Vrij.

Much respect to Brazil for all they did in football, but this tournament they were just not good enough..no doubt Brazil will win another world cup in time..hopefully we will finally win at least 1
