My grandmother made that a lot. Brings back memories of her. She taught me everything she knew about cooking Italian food as well as my parents. I will have to make this now.

The poor man's cheese? I never thought of that. That's wonderful. Breadcrumbs are simple and delicious.

My mother was Italian, so I grew up eating a lot of pasta. I still eat it 4 or 5 nights a week. This dish is one of my favorites to make. So simple and satisfying. Buon appetito e grazie Lidia!

I use Sicilian cured black olives for my vegan friends. It has a very similar flavor but milder and no hairs!!

Can you use Anchovy Paste instead of Anchovies?

I would suggest to cook the paste a little closer towards the end because it would be more likely to burn than full anchovies.

I can taste it from here!
