I actually enjoy fried onion rings more than french fries. The thing I don't like is when you take a bite and the entire onion ring comes out of the coating! Does soaking the onion in milk prevent this from happening? Because you didn't seem to have that problem when you took a bite of the ones you made. They looked outstandingly delicious, by the way.😁
Try softening the onion a bit by microwaving the onion for a minute.

It’s the dredging step, Lidia put the rings in the flour before she put the rings in the batter that prevents the “slippage” you are referring to! Do a quick rewatch…it’s definitely there! Lidia rocks! Cheers, Michael Albuquerque NM USA
Please young man, roll those spaguetti nicely, on the fork, second and most important, it's " aglio e olio ' , not aglio y(i) olio". I listened to your video carefully as you stated incorrectly twice. Thank you mate.. Buy the way, I've never had this creamy version of this pasta preparation. I will try is cause it looks delicious, specially the browned version where u blender the garlic after it has fried. I will boil my pasta al dente and then mix it in with the sauce and some of that starchy boiling water. One of the risks of cooking pasta like you did at the beggining of your video is that if one is not careful, the final product tastes like a lump of starch...Thank u for your creamy blended and fried garlic sauce. It really made my day!!!!
She is my favorite Italian chef. my wife is full Italian, and I am full Greek we follow Lyria's recipes always. in this delicious eggplant recipe, I would add some crumble DODONIS Greek Feta cheese not too much to make my wife happy She likes feta cheese on almost everything, LYRIA talks very INTELENGTLY, SLOWLY, AND IT IS VERY EASY TO FOLLOW HER. SHE IS A VERY GOOD COOK ALSO SHE DOESN'T HOLD BACK ANY SECRETS ABOUT HER RECIPES LIKE SOME OTHERS DO I THINK THAT IS TERRIBLE AND DEFITTS THE PURPOSE. we LOVE HER AND HER ITALIAN RECIPES.

When I was a kid we'd salt eggplant (aubergine) to reduce the bitterness. But modern varieties with that bitterness bred out came onto the market and I don't think I've salted an eggplant for that reason in more than 40 years. So now I'm curious. Are the varieties available on the American market still the bitter ones? Or is salting now more a matter of habit than necessity?
