Not only did Lucas endorse this movie, he let them use ILM (the VFX studio he founded) to do the VFX for it which is why the production value is so high. His only condition was that they couldn’t sell any products related to the film, hence the merchandising gag.

So many people ask "Why did they even put a reverse function on it to begin with?" and it boggles my mind every time I hear someone ask that. They are stealing the air because their planet is running out of air... they would need a way to get it back out when they get back to their planet lol.

Rambo is an awesome movie. The first one is not only an action movie, but explores PTSD, survivor's guilt, and how America treated returning Vietnam vets, among other things. Each subsequent Rambo sequel does go heavy on the action but they all still posed some sort of commentary on war. The scene with Pizza the Hut could only be filmed once. The interior of the costume was practically an oven. Think about it, that was real melted cheese, sauce, bread and pepperoni. The actor had to be pulled out due to heat exhaustion (if not heat stroke). Afterwards, the actor received medical advice not to get in the costume again and then he refused to do so once he was back on set. No other actors would get in the costume after they saw what happened to the original actor, so they had to use what film they managed to get on the first and only recording.

The dinks that rescue them in the desert is a reference to " Snow White and the Seven Dwarves " and " Star Wars ". Valium is a medicine that can knock you out. Hence Prince Valium is always starting to fall asleep. The man with the alien coming out of him is John Hurt. The same thing happened to him in "Alien". That's why he said " Oh no. Not you again ". The head of megamaid and apes seeing it is a reference to " The Planet of The Apes " first movie. Great that you saw the Millennium Falcon at the restaurant. Most people don't see it until someone tells them.
9:45 "this is stupid but i kinda love it" i think we found this channels catch phrase!
The "playing with your dolls again" scene? ALL IMPROVISED.
Fun fact: one of the conditions this movie was made on was that they weren't allowed to produce any merchandise for it because they didn't want Spaceballs merch to compete with merch from the movies it was parodying. So, thus was born the merchandising scene in the movie. A bunch of stuff you can't actually get. And darn, I really wanted that Spaceballs: The Flame Thrower too. I'd have loved that as a kid! 😆
Frankly I'm impressed that you had nothing to say about "They've gone to plaid!"
Love Rick Moranis! Would recommend checking out 'Honey, I Shrunk the Kids' (1989) and its sequel 'Honey, I Blew Up the Kid' (1992). They'd make for really fun reactions. 🧡

Strange Brew is an old favorite.
Jawa song is from the film "Bridge on the River Kwai". Which starred Alec Guinness. Who played Obi Wan in the original Star Wars.
I love how this movie subjected Alex to himself and made him just shake his head and roll his eyes. Now you know how we feel
"Light the candles and spin the dreidel, 'cause she's a Dru!" 🤣💀
The alien that pops out of the guys chest is a loony toons reference when it puts the top hat on and sings

If I remember correctly, the reason he said "Not again" was because that was the guy from Aliens that had the chest burster

@@materimann Yes, that was John Hurt, who was the first victim of the chest-burster in Alien
You will definitely love rambo 1 and 2. You would also love the original planet of the apes despite how old it is. They are just damn good movies.
One of my absolute favorite Mel Brooks films. That man is one of the greatest comedic directors ever in my opinion. There was nothing off limits to him and he made fun of everything and everyone. Love him and his movies
“ i am your father’s brothers uncles cousin’s former roommate” I loveee that😂😂😂 And how all the guys are cross eyed
26:16 - yes. if you have not watched the Rambo movies you 100% should. 1,2 and 4 at least. 3 and 5 are optional.
After all the remarks you have said in all the other reaction videos, hearing you say this is stupid is the most ironic thing ever, Love it!
If you haven't done Robin Hood: Men Tights or Blazing Saddles yet, dude, you have to 😂 Mel Brooks is a genius
Fun fact. George Lukas loved this movie, he okayed the Millennium Falcon cameo (well spotted by the way, most people miss it). The merchandising company for Star Wars on the other hand, played hard ball. This movie was only allowed if they agreed to do *no merchandising of any kind.* That caused 2 changed to this movie, the merchandising scene and the name of the 'force' knockoff. See, the *Schwartz* company did the merchandising for Star Wars. So the 'greatest power in the universe' was Schwartz merchandising.
Seeing you liked this may I recommend Blazing Saddles, history of the world part 1, and Robbin Hood Men in Tights

17:00 "What is that and why does my brain know it?" It's Colonel Bogey. It's a traditional march and has been in a lot of movies.
The "Dink Dink" song is The Colonel Bogey March. Fun fact: it was famously used in the film Bridge Over the River Kwai, which starred Sir Alec Guinness (Obi-Wan Kenobi).
14:48 Everyone thinks Deadpool did it first but Ryan Reynolds was a kid of the 80’s. This is peak classic humor to us!
YOU NEED TO WATCH THE FIRST RAMBO MOVIE. It's a real Masterpiece. I cried at the end of it.
As soon I saw this notification I got super excited because this movie is so goofy lmaoooo
The song at 17:10 is the Colonel Bogey March.... almost everyone knows it, but no one knows where from....
Awww Man! One of my favorite bits didn't make the edit: "They've gone... Plaid!" 🤣
This is one of my favorite movies, I’ve been watching this since I was like 3 years old! I still quote this movie all the time. This is one of the best parody movies of all time. The scene where Darth Helmet is playing with the dolls and the scene where they shoot the princess’ hair and she mows them all down have always been my favorite 😂
We ain't found shit! Kills me every single time lmao
Interesting tidbit for Pizza the Hutt. The actor (Dom Deluise) got second and third degree burns from the "melting cheese" and the effects worker refused so hard to do any reshoots he quit when Mel suggested it.
Prince Valium is a sleeping pill Dot is a reference to the dot matrix Princess Vespa is an Italian motorbike
