I watched Tropic Thunder for the first time and it is about shooting a war film, the director attempts to liven up proceedings by dropping the principle actors into the middle of a real jungle, claiming he is going to capture their performance with hidden cameras. The hapless group including drug-addled comedy star Jeff Portnoy and po-faced method man Kirk Lazarus are completely unaware when a series of unfortunate events leads them into the middle of a real war zone.

RDJ role was making fun of actors who had done stuff like this before an how ridiculous they are, not just black face but the whole imma fully immersed myself in the role, not drop character, it’s just crazy how he did this. Not my place but most people ive heard from about this aren’t mad at it or offended by this role.
