Actually Eminem had a song wich pays homage to South Park (The kids) that appears on the clean version of The Marshal Matters LP that would be fitting, but he wasn't authorize for the copyrights, that's why he says in the end of the song in a Cartman-like voice ''SOUTH PARK IS GONNA SUE ME".

I think its funny how fans get so protective of these creators getting mad that studios dont want to always just bow down to them as if their kings yet these people dont realize it takes more than a creator or 2 to make a series work in any medium be it music literature movies t.v. whatever....and sometimes the studio does know how to do said product better than the creators even..now with south park it is sorta different cause their so anti pop culture and these 2 do a lot for the series and without them the show would be absolute dog shit script wise I bet and not our south park so I respect that even when they make a shitty episode its from them and they can admit it but it still feels like them...Terrence and phillip behind the blow for example..terrible episode but its so what these 2 knuckleheads at the time would do to troll the fans so im okay with it..if a studio made that ep I would hate it so much so I get it I give creators a pass on shit too but like their not the end all be all..just saying...it takes everyone working hard together...George lucas proved to us creators aren't always that smart in their own field...sometimes its just timing and a flash in a pan moment of creativity...akira toriyama is another hack...giving these guys full range is asking for trouble..

A perfect example of that is Rush. After their not-so-successful album “Caress Of Steel”, the record label tried pressuring the band into going towards more of a Cheap Trick / Kiss route, musically. So what does Rush do? The complete opposite - a concept album called “2112”, which became one of their biggest albums of their careers. They knew what their true fans wanted. The song 2112, which is a 20 minute epic, is basically a “fuck you” to the record company. The album ended up becoming their largest selling album (up to that point, until “Moving Pictures” in 1981), and gained the band their musical independence for the rest of their 40+ year career.

Isaac Baranoff “We were better off with those guys,” says Zappa, “than we are with the hip, young executives,” making decisions about what people should hear. The hippies are more conservative than the conservative “old guys” ever were. This Zappa of 1987 recommends getting back to the “who knows?” approach, “that entrepreneurial spirit” of the grand old industry barons of the 60s.” He just says that record labels shouldn’t control what music gets put out and be more open minded. This is probably the nicest thing he said about the music industry, with his career being kind of about fucking with them. I dont get how this is political, guy was a fucking nihilistic centrist, hated everyone the same

Last season is often regarded as one of the worst, and the crappy Tegridy farms arc is the biggest reason why. Everything else about the show is still great, but Randy is the most Family Guyish character on the show. The dumb dad who is having a mid life crisis shit has been done to death and is played out. Randy works amazing as a secondary character with the odd episode about him. He sucks as the main character. The show is at its best when its focusing on the boys. The pandemic special was great, but Randy was the worst part about it. The Cops, Stan, Cartman made the episode, not Randy and his bat fucking Of the main/secondary characters. Randy is BY FAR the least creative and has the least depth. SPs most generic character that appeals to the Family Guy crowd

Trey and Matt are amazingly inspirational!

I'm glad this has kind of thinking has mostly gone away in recent years. Tons of early 2000s movies just have random music videos thrown in the middle for the only reason of promoting sales of the songs. It also leads to some very obscure singles from big artists that basically get lost to time. Want to listen to that one Foo Fighters single from the 90s? Great! Now good luck finding a physical copy of the Godzilla 1998 soundtrack that was never sold digitally.

I remember so many sermons in church about how dangerous South Park was. American Family Association always was calling for the show to be cancelled. So it's just funny to me when I hear Trey Parker and Matt act as though none of that stuff ever happened. It's clear to me that they just didn't pay attention to it. It's so funny I remember specifically people being so infuriated about that Jesus versus Satan boxing match

South Park (unlike Family Guy) represents all absurdities of just about every view point. They've even made fun of atheists which Family Guy would never do. South Park even defended Family Guy in their Family Guy episode. It was kind of subtle but they were fair. Family Guy will never make fun of democrats or anything they believe in. South Park will.

@TheWigoff There's no question why production companies take over, especially with advertising of the production. For example, an ad came on for a movie that consisted of nothing more than violent special effects and soft core porn. My friend said "I can't wait to see that!!". I asked him "Why? Do you know if any actors that you like are in it? Have you read the synopsis?" He responded "No it just looks awesome!" A mindless population (TV watchers) are most easily intrigued by sex and violence.

@tpstrat14 That's pretty much it. I mean, Expendables, was pretty much the exact same story of Rambo 4 but no one really cared, they just wanted to see the action. Then of course Tron comes out, but pretty much every young guy/girl at college only saw it (and liked it) because Daft Punk was in it and they did the music. They haven't even seen the first one. It's really sad that production companies use a 'formula' to create movies. So many stories wasted. Trey and Matt are my heroes.

I really like the flashback thing from family, their randomness makes me laugh and their jokes are way more offensive than south park's. ,I really hate the fact that they got rid of old cartman quotes, killed my favorite characters, and kept tweak and butters alive, and made mr garrison a woman, but they're still funny, funnier than family guy and the messages they send are really good.for each of these two shows its pros and cons I guess .
