What these two have done is incredible. The fact that they inked one of the most lucrative deals in entertainment history showed how forward thinking they were. They signed a deal where they get 50% of any digital revenue generated from the show. Viacom didn’t even flinch on it lol but they wanted it. Fast forward to mid ‘10s and Viacom begged them to readjust but of course they didn’t budge but they did move on merchandise which Viacom get like 90% of lol cool. They’ve inked like $1.75B in streaming figures in the last 5 years not including what they get from online revenue. It’s just crazy. Not including Book of Mormon sales either. They’ve been a staple of my life since I was a kid in 97 and I love they’re not stopping yet

Honestly the pillar of mainstream comedy, if it weren't for these two geniuses i wouldn't have grown up with the humor i cherish today. Every moment in the later episodes of South Park has deeper meaning that most of us can understand. Like Stan, Kyle, Cartman & Kenny has has their own moral standpoint that overall comes with a conclusion at the end of the show, mostly Kyle being the rational and Stan being the one come to a conclusion and Cartman that is manipulative. Thanks Trey Parker & Matt Stone!

They consistently tackle the topic of the time period and always have a thought provoking take on it. Regardless of your position, if you objectively watched South Park from beginning to end. As a Nordic, I won't stick my nose to American politics, but the collective soap box-behavior is kind of hilarious. Whether democrat or republican, you are 100% and shout it. Same goes to other things "I am a gun owner!", "I am a vegan!" and so on. What they are actually saying is that "I am a hero!" People define themselves by most arbitrary things, shout it out loud and wear T-shirts and hats and bumper stickers etc. with a text that what kind of superhero they are. And it's kind of confusing when someone says "I support our troops". Like... how exactly? With tax dollars?

  • @gianttigerfilms

Its not all about talent. It says a lot about their personalities and their work ethic that they are still going strong after 25 years. You have to have the right personality to get along with the same core group of people for that long in that setting. Ego and often money get in the way. I can't think of too many professional partnerships that have been as successful as them for this long
