Matt and Trey make it quite clear on the commentary for The Return of Chef, that they were never mad with Hayes, only the Scientologists for screwing the mind of Hayes.

People has the right to believe what they want to, what would you do if someone ridulculed something that u believed in , u most likely to take offense Trey and Matt's show is good ,its not nesessary to add religion jokes they arent funny at all if u do find them funny then u either athiest or agnostic.
I loved how Chef was the only guy with common sense in the whole town

I read that he had a stroke not long after the Scientology episode, and it was actually the church that sent a letter to Matt and Trey quitting the show. They pretended to be Issac and did it against his wishes.

It’s weird. Every time I argue that they shouldn’t have killed off chef, I’m always told that the character of chef was designed and based SPECIFICALLY on and for Isaac Hayes. Watching this, that’s clearly not the case. Chef was created before Isaac’s casting.

Chef was the best character on the show. I miss him.
Matt and Trey are comedic legends. South Park is the only animated comedy series that will surpass time itself.

I saw a recent interview where Matt basically said the show is Trey's. He's there for voices, feedback, and the occasional writing but that almost everything you see on the show was in Trey's head.

@@mantislake4141 Matt is good at the dealing with the network and hollywood business crap, and is able to protect the integrity of the show and its vision. He frees up Trey to focus on what he is good at. They both have their strengths and balance out each others weaknesses
i've never seen them do so many voices in person.

I mentioned South Park first in the sentence, didn't I? Anyway, South Park and American Dad are two adult animation series I am very committed to watching new seasons of. I much prefer them to The Simpsons and Family Guy. I'm going for the less obvious.
