I was here back in 2007, a good friend of mine use to live here year round. I loved it, went fishing everyday, caught a bunch of red snapper and took them to the local restaurants and they would cook them up for you for a very measly price. Very cool place

Yes! Can you do please [4K] Bastrop, Texas to Sugar Land Marriott Town Square in Sugar Land, Texas. Drive with me on a Highway.
The sunsets are awesome at one of the East side restaurants. The house bands, not so much. There a half a dozen park/parking spots on the west side with beach access.

It's worth a visit for sure!! But imo, I like Port Aransas better.......1 it's closer to Houston than SPI and 2, it's more of a small town feel......SPI feels more transient to me.
A cleaner Galveston Island.

@@DeceleratedTravelI saw it really close to my Airbnb when I was at the Island this past weekend and I was like “that’s a cool blimp” never thinking it was used from border patrol lol I miss the Island already
this would have been nicer on a sunny day.

Dirty Al's has some great seafood. I go there for their cajun shrimp every time i visit.
