Excellent reaction video, glad you liked our Devil Dogs. One thing, though. At the end you mentioned the pressure they are under, performing in front of all those people. Dude, those guys are United States Marines. Fire breathing, heart-breaking, ass-kicking, name-taking leathernecks. A few thousand civilians watching them do a manual of arms is nothing to them _Semper fi!_

Just to let you know, the whole fallen cap is part of their performances!

I've seen this video several times, but I have so much disrespect for the players and sideline staff who came on to the field to warm up during the drill. You can stay in your tunnels for an extra 2 minutes until they complete their drill.

By the time I graduated Boot Camp, I was so used to marching that even in a casual walk with fellow Marines we fell into step in perfect synchrony.

They are not a platoon they are a team You should hear them on a wood platform

I think they had the players and other people on the field to show that even with all of the distractions they Marine Corps Drill team is perfect!

I bet the one that lost his cover was probably so embarrassed. Bless his heart. My husband was in the USMC for 20 years, my son was also a Marine. I can only imagine the hours put in to be this good! Semper Fi!

I have watched this video before and there are several things to note. 1) The hat sequence was not a mistake and was done at other times. 2) They did not allow the men the time they needed and I thought it was inappropriate for the players to come on the field during the performance. 3) You will notice that they removed their bayonets and placed them at their sides in a sheath on their belts before some of the more dangerous maneuvers. . I have also watched several different videos showing these gentlemen and enjoyed the ones where they are on a solid surface with no interference. It is much more impressive as the sound of the rifles being handled and tapping on the floor makes more of an impression.

I've always been amazed by their gracefulness. Their moves are so smooth as if almost robotic. Loved this! Thanks for reacting.

The hat is part of the performance.

It takes a LOT of practice to be that synchronized! Impressive as all hell. Note they're all about the same height and leg length too. That also helps.

His hat falling off was not planned

The hat "mistake" is planned for some shows. I've seen it twice before.

My father was voted meanest DI on Pendleton three times. He use to take me with him sometimes. I spent the day running around visiting His recruits or mess hall Somtimes they would be practicing drills on the parade grounds I'd sit in the bleachers watching I was fascinated by them so it was a treat. My Dad's Boys always were really fun to hang out with like having a whole bunch of big brothers. They even would chip in and buy me stuff. Yhea they may have been Tying for butter uo my Dad but I didn't know . No way would I be allowed to just run around base these days . It was very different in the 70s

They're simply amazing!

These guys practice non stop I'm told 7 days a week. They came to do a show in Albany when I was there and were in the barracks across from us. They were still practicing at 9:30 at night and when we got up for PT in the morning they had already started back in with the rifles. The finest group of degenerates you'd ever want to meet.

Everyone says athat and i agree disrespectful those players

The hat coming off could be planned or not planned. They train for a variety of scenarios of mishaps that could potention happen the 2 most common ones you see are the hat and the rifle drop, sometimes they plan it in and sometimes it just happens but they rehearse and go over which particular setup they are going for. Also the Marine Corps only has the 1 Silent Drill Platoon, all Marines do drill but not always on this level

OH my gosh, the Texans and Colts should be ashamed for going out on the field while The Marines were performing.

Seen this many times. They are good!! Now, you need to check out the US Navy Drill Team. They have a great video from when they were in Norway. I was not Drill Team but was in a different platoon of the US Navy Ceremonial Guard, '81-'82.

Watch The United States Marine Corps Silent Drill Platoon at Gallatin High School 1016 its better in a high school gymnasium the sound of the combat ready even the bayonet is sharp and combat ready. These are Marines not soldiers, soldiers are in the Army. A Marine would be very upset if you called him a soldier! Other branches of our military have drill platoons check them out! But the Marines are the best, I raised a United States Marine 1% of the American citizens earn the title of The United States Marine! And i raised a Marine!

I was so sorry, to see the players on the field, before the Marines were finished. So disrespectful. Just goes to show you, players are just that, players. The real heros, are the military men and women!

This is what halftime shows need to be. Not the whorish, talentless bubblegum pop performers.

Yeah…the Marines are ok..But you should definitely check out the Navy’s drill team. (Navy veteran here 👋🏻 85-89)

It's only an insult if you have a chip on your shoulder. The guy was just using a frame of reference. He's showing it in a very positive light, and modestly. I appreciate it.

My Marine husband used to say, "this is my weapon, not my gun. My weapon's for fighting, my gun is for fun." LOL LOL
