Washington state here our Seahawks pro team fans have caused rictor scales to register earthquakes from our fans
I believe that some of the greatest sports fans in the USA are at high school football games...at least here in Texas. The "Eyes of Texas" is being sung at the end of a game hence the low "attendance". I suggest you check the student reactions of App State when they beat Michigan and A&M. Even the small schools have the greatest sports fans.

For sure ! My old school Churchill we had the “ Gucci Bowl” a revelry between Churchill and Clark high school here in San Antonio , it like a college game . Actually only in high school with big reveries especially in Texas you have the football game going on , the big bands competing with each other as well as the pep squads then the cheerleaders battle , it’s huge … it’s rediculous , exciting .. It’s football !! lol

I went to Cy-Fair High School. Some of our pep rallies are on KZread. There's one video from 1985 that I LOVE to look at sometimes. It brings back great memories. Most of the football players are dressed in cowboy boots and Wranglers!!! Their hair is trimmed nicely. Mostly good kids that loved football and hoped for a scholarship to college!!!

@SOCCERNUT32 in the '80s our football stadium was like a college stadium. It was really large for that time.

It’s that way in every state, including California. High School football games were and have always been very well attended when I attended school out there.
Most reactors just ooh and ahh at these videos I really enjoyed your Commentary. It's always nice to Watch a reactor With such a passionate eye.
I cannot put into words how great it feels when jump around comes on at a Badgers game.

Back when my cousin was attending he got us in the students section. Absolute madness, what a time.
Even our high school teams are crazy!! High schools often have Pep rallies that are this wild. There are videos on KZread of some. Especially Texas high school pep rallies!!!
Indy 500 will Host around 500,000 spectators at the end of May
I played high school football in a small town in Alabama in the late 1950's . We would draw 5,000 fans to our home games. I guess the other side of that is there just wasn't that much else to do . LOL
It really starts out in our High Schools. That is where they are recruited for the college teams. High school games also are highly attended in the USA.
The clip with the Eyes of Texas was from a game called the "Red River Shootout," which the annual rivalry game between the University of Texas Longhorns and the Oklahoma State University Sooners, it's played at Cotton Bowl Stadium, which is considered neutral ground. That's why the capacities are different. Yes, the stadium holds 92500 when at full capacity, but the clip shows half the stadium gone because...the game's over, Oklahoma lost. The Oklahoma fans went home and the Texas fans stayed to celebrate. There's a pretty storied history and a rich tradition behind the game. For example, the Texas Mascot, depending on which side you ask, is named Bevo because some Oklahoma students snuck into the mascot's pen and branded the animal with the numbers 13 - 0, which was the score of the previous Red River Shootout. After Texas found the branding, they quickly rebranded over the steer so it spelled "BEVO" (13_E_V_0) instead. Winner of the annual contest also gains control of the Red River, which serves at the border between the two states.
The University of Michigan stadium (team colors maize & blue) holds 115,000 & is the largest stadium in the US & the 3rd largest in the whole world. 'Go Blue!'.
The footage from Pitt must have been from a game against West Virginia. Huge rivalry called The Backyard Brawl. Pitt never fills Heinz Field that well normally. We fill in Sweet Caroline with "Let's Go Pitt!" Opposing fans (especially West Virginia) reply with "Eat Shit Pitt!" Pitt and Penn State do the same song because Penn State is located right in the middle of Pennsylvania, and all the football culture comes from Pittsburgh's side of the state.
If the USA is ever invaded & attacked, just draft the athletes. The Rest will follow!!!!! You cannot beat us.
My sisters Alma Mater is Utah State. She passed away almost a couple years ago. She would have loved this clip.

Haha thanks for filling that in. Couldn’t quite hear it clearly
Pro sports in America have their moments, but the culture of collegiate sports here in America is simply unrivaled. There's nothing in the world like a Saturday night in Death Valley when Alabama comes to town, or an overtime at Cameron Indoor against Kentucky.
I've seen the UT State chant "I believe that we will win" done even at the high school level, as well as many of the others. I don't know if you've ever seen a FL State football fan show like this, but the chop coincides with the team name--Seminoles, which is the historically dominant tribe of Florida, and their most famous chief Osceola (ah-see-OH-la), and his horse Renegade come out on the field of each home before the start, and he throws a burning spear into the ground after riding a bit around the field. In case you don't already know, the A & M in Texas A & M stands for Agricultural & Mechanical--thus the team name Aggies. I'm sure there's an article on Wikipedia about how Oklahoma got the nickname Sooners. I don't know if it's been explained as to why so many fans are at the college/university level. It has a 2-fold reason. First is the size of the country, in that millions of people live hundreds of miles from the nearest pro team. Second, many of the fans went to that school a generation or 2 ago, and are still loyal, and/or their children are/have. In Sweet Caroline (Pittsburgh Panthers), they chanted "Let's Go Pitt".

People from other countries need to under stand just because it's not professional they think it's garbage and it's actually the opposite and that's why every country wants to keep the professional teams with all the attention and yall are missing out
Local teams doesn't make a person go to college football games or high school games its a hell of alot more than that we dont care if it's not professional we love our college and high school sports better because it means more to us as Americans we dont even have to attend the school you cheer for it's just in your blood it's more than a religion it's a way of life
You should see the Virginia tech holiest pre game.

Oklahoma was settled during the land rush that was orchestrated by the US government to rapidly occupy the land purchased from France in the Louisiana Purchase. Settlers were awarded land grants for any land that they could claim with Oklahoma being on the western most end of the territory. The land rush officially started at St. Louis ("The Gateway to the West") and was marked with the firing of a cannon. Oklahoma was settled by a mixture of pioneers that waited for the ceremony ("Boomers") and those that left Sooner.
Gonzaga is a small school but one of the best basketball teams
The highest attendance was Tennessee and I think Alabama held at Daytona raceway because it seats 250,000 but attendance was 147,212......I think....give or take a 1,000....we don't play when it comes to our college sports.. They're saying "let's go Pitt"

@brianhums5056, but he's not European (S. Africa), and I believe he's just repeating what others have said. Also, there's a big difference between countries where they totally ignore the university teams, and here where we're just as rabid about the college/university level, if not more. It's like comparing apples to oranges.
Hey, react the The Taliban Song by Toby Keith. Its great fun.
